you figure if terrorists wanted to get away with explosions (aka non suicide and live to explode another day) the 4th of july woulld be a proper day to do it because it generally sounds like a fucking warzone by dusk in any civilized/metropolitan area. then again the police run those menacing "CLICK IT OR TICKET" and "YOU DRINK. YOU DRIVE. YOU LOSE." commercials cuz THEY WILL FIND YOU and you gotta assume that the 4th of july = one of their "best" days for picking off drunk drivers and etc.

hell, with the 4th of july on a monday this weekend was a veritable party weekend (especially last night) and in the city i saw at least one dude so drunk he couldn't walk more than 3-4 steps without falling off to the left into a parked car. at least he was clever enough to walk right along the parked cars, but you figure that once he hit a stretch of open curb he was liable to fall into the street and become what my old drivers ed teacher mr. lovelace ("one of the oldest names in america!") would call "road pizza"

ahh well, it was prolly just someone got caught up and copped a deal telling TPTB about a "shipment" coming in via a mule and thus cops gonna cop aka feds gonna fed.
