i don't understand how a movie studio produced a comedy with four woman leads when it's widely known women aren't funny.

Dan Aykroyd basically said this is the greatest movie of all time.

So, no need to worry.

i am firmly prepared to not see this movie in theaters and eventually hate it on HBO some day, but i saw a trailer for it a few weeks back and it actually didn't look as terrible as I was expecting. i'm not suggesting it will be hilarious or anything, but it looked like it might have some good moments in there.

Looks like our opinion differ here!

Both trailers look bottom of the barrel awful. Not funny, bad slapstick and oopoor effects.

It simply doesn't look funny or remotely good. No one asked for this.

He resurrected the lame Conehead's bit in the State Farm commercials, so I trust his comedic opinion.

When the previews are not remotely funny it's likely a problem. Can't think of a movie I wanted to bomb more.

I always hated Ghostbusters but loved that catchy theme song!

Also one of the best toys I ever bought my son was the Ghostbuster firehouse. It was very well made. NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.

The swag quality is really good. My wife got my kid a proton pack that even I don't mind playing with.

never saw any Ghostbuster movies. aren't those for kids? What's up with adults watching crap meant for kids these days, Dr Who, movies based on comic books, reboots of old kids films. Ninja Turtles, now this one. Whatever happened to movies like Thief? James Caan trying to quit the jewel thief biz to shack up with Tuesday Weld.

That will probably be funnier than any joke in the movie.

I'm being completely serious.

it's telling that none of the non-trailer ads for this film feature a woman ghostbuster or a member of the cast. the Kobe commercials featured him as a ghostbuster, and the Progressive also features a male ghostbuster. couldn't even have the guts to put Flo in a getup. advertisers have no faith in this film.

this movie will be more known for its controversy and stupid overreaction than its own merits.

My cousin liked it, but he can't be trusted on it, he's a ghosthead (like trekkies but for ghostbusters) and will be at the Hollywood premiere.

Even worse are the geeks who act like they're still part of an oppressed minority because they watch comic book movies that gross hundreds of millions of dollars.

Ghostbusters was awesome.

I'm sorry you guys are old and lame.

This movie looks like it will suck. Not even Leslie Jones can save it.

First one wasn't hilariously funny, but it had some great moments, fantastic dialogue and many memorable quotes. Most of the humor was below lol threshold, like Tully locking himself out of the apartment and the twinkie. Good stuff.

Now the original Ghostbusters sucked, and the reboot is better. http://time.com/4404569/ghostbusters-nostalgia/
