I see em in condensers all the time, particularly around fox lake and Volo and around the river.
Little fuckers.

Snakes are good at rodent control. Snakes > Rodents.

I've been very successful avoiding snake bites during my lifetime.

You never caught snakes as a kid?

No, we did unusual things for boys our age...like ride bikes, play baseball and video games. We weren't pretending to be Steve Irwin with Illinois' most dangerous one foot long snakes.

I did, however, have two green tree boas growing up. Never bit.

You missed out on fishing, catching frogs,,turtles and snakes...its not too late..snakes don't even bite hard, their"venom" is unnoticable ..we called em blackies, greenies, and brownies by their color... I've only seen one Illinois rattler in my life..I didn't mess with him, probably extinct by now anyways.

I too had never really seen snakes in the city before this year & now have seen two little worm snakes(thanks for the link IMU). It's amazing how many different species of animals/birds/etc., now seem to call the city home as opposed to 15 or so years ago.

But it was a little shocking for me to see an adult deer strolling around a park on 107th & Morgan.

I bet the deer are from cedar park cemetary..gotta be 100 of them MFers in there.

I took some pics of the last fuckers I saw working in fox lake.
I'd say 18 to 24 inches. Probably ribbon snakes. I don't think they're dangerous. At least to people. Mice and crickets? Different story.

What a pussy. Government bureaucracy at its finest. The free market ain't afraid of no garter snakes.
