WD,
You're just talking yourself into voting for Trump when in your heart you know he has no business being President. Don't worry, MANY of my family and friends are doing the same thing, most of it driven by Hillary hate.
Hillary is flawed on MANY levels. I don't vote Democratic, I don't like her, and I won't vote for her. But there is no doubt in my mind that this country would be better off with her than Trump. It's not even close. First off, she has been in the White House for eight years. She had been in politics her whole life. She has been a U.S. Senator. She has been Secretary of State. So she is clearly qualified.
If you're worried about money driving politics, well then you'll have to get over that. The entire system is built that way. The K Street lobby depends on it. If you're worried about her lying, then how is Trump a viable option for you? Most politicians outright lie and all certainly bend the truth to get elected. It's just our ignorance to their inner workings that helps us sleep at night with the political class.
And Trump's anti trade tirades that are driving a lot of his poll numbers, well he will back track on that. He knows damn well firsthand the benefits of trade.
Nicely said Denis. This is why you are missed when you disappear from the politics section.
I would add, however, that while I understand the sentiment - not voting for Clinton only helps Trump. If enough people feel the same way we may end up with him by default.
To quote a former assistant to GW Bush, David Meyers:
"Any Republican who claims that it’s better to elect Donald Trump than Hillary Clinton either lacks proper judgment, or has become so blinded by partisan ideology that they have lost objectivity."He goes into more detailed reasons for those who are interested...
