As bad as things have gone lately they are still 19 games over .500 hopefully they win 2 out of 3 here and head into the all star break.

I need a bullpen. Bad bullpens never go far in playoffs.

I don't disagree but I think some trades are on the way for bullpen help I will feel better once Miller or Chapman gets here.

We already suffered through Joel Peralta. We'll have to suffer through Joe Nathan, Brian Matusz, Jack Leathersich, and Aaron Crow first before Theo/Jed trade one of their preciousssssss

Just glad we haven't had to watch Schlitter, Phil Coke, or Rafael Soriano this year.

Don't forget,1 or 2 SP get booted back to the bullpen in the playoffs.

So Hammel and Hendricks can blow games from the pen instead of by starting in the playoffs? Can't wait. The team can use another starter (not Rich Hill PLEASE) and like 2 more actual arms in the bullpen. The time to move Vogelbach to an AL team is this year. Moves are coming I have faith.

ZZ was trying desperately to make a 2 out of 3 prediction for the series. Not a chance.
This team will be fine, but boy do they need the All-Star break and a healthy Fowler.

Cubs take 2 outta 3. Would sweep if they didn't suck right now.

The Pirates are calling guys up like crazy now that the super two deadline has passed (funny how that works out). 1B Josh Bell is the latest call up. It's too bad Austin Meadows is hurt or he would have been part of this wave too. He's the best amateur player I've ever seen.

Montero catching and Contreras in LF is increasing the Cubs chances of losing :?:

Pirates do have waves of talent stashed. You are correct about the super 2 thing.

with schlitter i could always =) thinking about how many codgery old cubs fans across from chicago to florida would tell people "do you know what i call him? shitter!"

but yeah, file me under "not worried" cuz i know the cubs will eventually pull off a magic move like trading schwrber soler and almora to the marlins for stanton and fernandez (who will make one hell of a closer) #WhyNotUs?

Is there a template for a pitcher regressing to the mean, and then rising back to dominant status in the same season? Honest question, I can't recall seeing it before, but the Cubs haven't had too many great pitchers in my lifetime either.
