A few years back there was a story about Theo arguing for bringing the DH to the NL solely based on his draft pick,Shwarber. The Cubs had a feeling back then this guy was a bat without a position.

That talked started before that with a 2nd round pick Dan Voglebach a year or 2 earlier.

The routes he takes will improve as he gets more experience (and coaching from Dave Martinez, who helped Fowler and Coghlan both become better outfielders) in the outfield in spring training as well as in the coming season. he has surprisingly good speed for his size and is very athletic. He should be able to rise to the level of at least being average as an outfielder. Better than Adam Dunn, Carlos Lee and many others who managed to play the position for many years.

I'm having a great time going back and reading this garbage.

If by juicing you mean blending kale and fruits and vegetables you're probably right!

Ah, remember those days when a certain segment believe Cubs lost the Rizzo/Cashner trade? Or how about the segment that believed he peaked at 25?

All this cat does is swat the ball with authority.

Anthony Rizzo Keeps Getting Better

"There are a variety of different ways to go about building a prototype for an ideal hitter, but a great starting point would be a guy doing exactly what Rizzo is doing right now: exhibiting plate discipline, getting on base, and hitting for power. That’s an impressive trifecta — and, at the core of that offensive profile, lies the key improvements Rizzo has made."

The media has no choice but to display adulation. Anthony Rizzo is a generational talent. He is the premiere pure hitter in the game today.

Remember when I was told Anthony Rizzo couldn't sniff Joey Votto's jock?

I was told to remember what I said after 2014.

And after 2015.

Unfortunately for Sox fans, I did.

Not so fast. You said he would be better as Votto declined. We all agreed that would eventually happen.

Lost in the Cubs slide into pigshit is Anthony Rizzo putting up MVP numbers:

.290/.410/.581

Lovely to see after MANY of a certain segment determined his career was only going downhill from 2 years ago.

No worries, IMU calling you a terrible poster is a badge of honor around here.

Have you read his thoughts on the Middie East crisis?
