Safety issue has some merit.

But the courtesy issue does not. That is taking it a bit far. Unless the dad lays the baby in your lap and tries to changes its diaper there in the seats.

Yeah. MANY are more annoying than babies at baseball games.

I bet Kirkwood has been smashed at a ballgame before.

Have one someday and report back.

MLB is a safety and courtesy issue. Foul balls and bats if Addison Russell is hitting flying into the stands. Plus there's being courteous to your fellow paying customers that they don't want to be bothered by a baby. So I'm pretty sure I can unlike all these other tools:
A) not buy the tickets
B) politely decline the free tickets
C) skip buying 3-4 beers so I can pay for a damn babysitter

Like JORR said bars have more gray area. But I've already been "Chus'd" when I complained about armies of strollers and toddlers overtaking a bar so I won't start that one.

I hear some of these new fangled stadiums have upper decks where a ball could never travel.

If the parents don't take them to the concourse at that point then they are douchebags.

At Purdue football last year we saw a bunch of little kids and babies. It helps that the stadium was pretty much empty for every game but none of them really caused an issue.

You have never been smashed at Wrigley Field?

So you are the one guy under 30 who is there who isn't?

I'll lose this one as everyone on this board has/had a baby.

I guess I can't wait until I have a baby so I can wave him/her around like a "Fuck You" card to everyone around me.

Of course I'll drink. But getting hammered at a game isn't fun. Really expensive too.

I had been on maybe 2-3 dates with this girl, and we met up at Wrigley for Cards/Cubs. She was a huge Cubs fan. Preston Wilson goes deep, and I stand and start clapping. She hauls off and slaps me so hard across the face that I saw a flash (I didn't hit back, 312). I was dumbfounded. I look at her and tell her to get the fuck away from me. She begins apologizing profusely. I was there with buddies. I mention to one to just meet me at whatever bar after the game. I had to get away from this broad. Ended up agreeing to met a month later since she wanted to apologize in person. Things didn't work out.

A baby wouldn't slap me.

What are these examples?

I've literally never had a problem with a baby close to me at a game. The only thing that ever happened was the baby started to cry and they took them away and then they left early.

Compare that to the people in the cheap seats on a Monday at US Cellular who treated it like they were at a public park. I'm pretty sure that not a single person in that group could have told me the opposing team that day.

We first took our daughter to a baseball game when she was 1 1/2. Nobody cared.

has nothing to do with having a baby or not, it has to do with common sense.

Same.

Took our son and it was fine.

Seems Kirkwood might be a bit jealous about not being able to produce an heir.

I will agree with you. However, I would just say that that is a minority of parents. The obnoxious ones who dgaf just stand out.

One day, you will have children of your own, and you will look back and say that I was right.

People with small children should limit themselves to the party at Chuck E. Cheese:

This thread got strange.

I dont care where your bring your baby. I dont care if its a 6 week old infant, or a 3 year old that is having trouble potty training. You take the kid into the restroom or your car to change a diaper. Anything else is 100% wrong.

Simple solution to a problem that has been festering with JORR since this past week end.

Back in the day, I had to change my kids diaper without a changing table...you get creative, but you don't do it on a table in front of a bunch of other customers. I support this nomination.
