It really is pretty simple though. bigfan can and should just post here and we can move on. This board is surviving and thriving just fine even with all the people who should be banned. He shouldn't be trying to create an even larger board split than Keeping Score even tried to do.

His legacy could be that he is the guy that created this great board and ran it very well for a lot of years and then stepped away when he was tired of the BS that comes with running a board. Instead, he seems to want to destroy his creation because Ugie and Douchebag can post here.

jimmy,

First you didn't contact him about the board. Then you posted an "email" where you did.

Your complaints about the the wisemen were done during the week we couldn't get the old board history. You were still defending his behavior after he turned the board over. And the post below was done the day after the board was shut down.

Who he is, his mission in message board life does not invalidate the cold hard truths he has spoken.

Respond to the post and not the poster, Franklin!

I hope BF is not playing that game. In any case, it reminded me of a situation with a newspaper reporter about 15 years. One of my friends and I were posting on the Raging Bull Stock message board. We were very active, and we followed a lot of microcap stocks. One in particular we knew for a fact was a money laundering operation. We reported the company to the SEC. But we also got in contact with a New Jersey reporter who had been following some of the principle actors. One of the people was a former councilmen.

We gave her a ton of evidence. We mentioned that some of our information and contacts were garnered through the Raging Bull site. So the reporter went to the message board. When we next spoke to her, she was like, "that site has a bunch of vulgar people acting like little children". I think we ruined our credibility with her.

As a side note, when I talked to the SEC, the two investigators said I had submitted the funniest complaint they ever encountered. They told me to call the FBI. Several years later Chris Christie put one of the guys behind bars. I called for my reward....and they didn't care.

It was something like CaptainDott. The origins of that name are a strange story, but the Dott portion is the name of a family that ran Monarch Services. Eric and Jackson Dott. Monarch Services has a fascinating history.

Best proxy I ever read was from that company (pasted below). Keep in mind the post script to the story below, is they ended up blowing all the money on several risky business ventures.

"Monarch Services, Inc. For More Information Contact:
Baltimore, MD 21214 A. Eric Dott
410-254-9200

November 3, 2000

PRESS RELEASE

SHOW ME THE MONEY
or
GIVE ME THE MONEY

What are you going to do with the money??

Scott Fitzgerald observed:
"The rich are different from us."

Ernest Hemingway shot back:
"Yes, they have more money."

We are now going to tell you what we are going to do with the money.

The money is all in CASH resting very nicely in CDs. It is all there...all the
money we received from HASBRO and much, much more. Any fool can spend money or
squander it on stupid acquisitions or mergers. We are constantly being pestered
to buy other magazines. None look worthwhile. Many corporations are brought to
our attention, but none look as attractive as what we have on our plate and
being prepared in the kitchen.

Two years ago, we completed the divestiture of the game company to Hasbro. This
took months of work but now it is behind us. Quite often these turn into bloody
messes. Our sale went like clockwork. Hasbro and Monarch have
a fantastic relationship that can only help both companies in the future.
Hasbro advertises in Girls' Life. Just call Tom Dusenberry, President of Hasbro
Interactive and ask him what he thinks of Monarch Services or Eric
or Jack Dott. (Mr. Dusenberry's number is 978-921-3701.)

We also sold our entire printing and envelope operation at a profit.
<PAGE>
Now everyone's mind is as clear as a bell and we can focus our energy on
the future.

The future is now. We will be launching our Boys/Men's magazine in May 2001.
Our assistant editor came from Scholastic Magazine. We have the first and last
employee who worked at National Observer waiting to come on board. We have
hired the Art and Creative Director of Johns Hopkins Magazine. We have
seventeen prospective Senior Editors to interview once more to make a final
decision.

Money is the lifeblood of any business. Without money, you die. Girls' Life is a
very profitable magazine.

When we started Girls' Life seven (7) years ago, our Board of Directors said NO
to the idea of a magazine for Tween Girls. The category didn't ever exist.
Eric and Jack Dott who made the proposal said they would finance the magazine
themselves. The board did a complete reversal and gave permission to proceed
with Girls' Life. Reg Murphy, former publisher of the Atlanta Journal and the
Sun paper in Baltimore and a board member at the time and
now second in command at National Geographic, and second in command at the PGA
in Atlanta, GA, told the board we would bankrupt the company. We
didn't know beans about publishing a national magazine, etc., etc. Just
look at us now! Thousands of girls, schools, libraries and the Girls Scouts
LOVE us - we can do no wrong.

The new magazine will be successful in spite of the fact that it will NOT
contain any SEX. Some of the subjects in the magazine will be "Tell It To The
Judge" and interesting law cases. We have the good fortune to have
Judge John Fader and Judge Larry Daniels of the Circuit Court of Baltimore
County writing for us.

Then there is "You Auto Know," which will be authored by a well-reputed
automobile expert. We have written several game reviews and Tom Dusenberry of
Hasbro tells us they are excellent. There will be a feature called "A Pair of
Docs," husband and wife medical doctors.

There is much, much more to tell, but we don't want to tell all the other
publishers what we are doing.

Some irritated stockholders have criticized the board for receiving a bonus of
$25,000. Please be aware your board of directors never received a penny for
serving on the board or gratuity of any kind for their service over the years.
For the long hours they toiled on the sale of the game division to Hasbro, the
board believed it appropriate to give the bonus. We do not know of any board
members who work for free. We also have never carried any D
and O insurance (directors and officers). We know our board of directors and
have full faith in their integrity and honesty. As for the free options " they
are not free " they must purchase them. Sure they will make money, but isn't
that the reason you purchased your stock? If we thought that Monarch Services
was worth only $8 or $9 a share, we wouldn't be writing this release.
<PAGE>

We know the stock is worth much, much more and that is why we are asking you to
vote YES for the proposals presented. If you have already voted NO to any
proposal, please write to the Corporate Secretary (Mr. Steven M. Szekely, at
4517 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD 21214) and revoke any previous proxy.

I have on my desk over 25 reports of companies whose stock was $85 to $8 earlier
this year. Would you believe they are now selling for $1 to $00? They ran out
of cash! They spent it frivolously... heck, we don't even have rugs on the
floor! We didn't buy BMWs, carpet, Herman Miller furniture or hire beautiful
secretaries who couldn't use computers.

This won't happen to your company because we spend every dollar like it's our
own. Remember, money is the lifeblood of any company. We have the money and
intend to use it wisely.

Thank you!!"

Contacted him about the board to say "Thanks" & mentioned about that hacker from DG,so big deal!

In regards to that last quote, after I made it somebody said "If you buy a house,do you still follow the previous owners rules?"

That made complete sense to me. Every quote or attempt you have made to shoot back at me looks kind of weak and petty. I don't think I said anything so terrible. I really can't keep up with all of the previous feuds on here and why BF got angry with certain guys. I have no complaints about anything since his departure.I guess being labelled a BF "guy" has put the scarlet letter on me.

I used to make a lot more trading plays. As I have gotten older, my appetite for risk has gone way down.

No scarlet letters here, jimmy. Seacrest is probably just salty because he was trying to save the board while bigfan was trying to kill it and maybe he felt like Someguys didn't appreciate that.

This is a very strange document--it reads like it was written by some unholy combination of Ben Franklin, Donald Trump, and Big Fan.

First thing you need to do is starting filing quarterly statements with the SEC. We list it on pinksheets/OTC. I'll help you file the S-1 registration statement, and we'll get it off the ground.

Or I could just stick to my day job. which is a lot less hassle. No one wants to deal with investment bankers.

This is tremendous. Beautiful secretaries are expensive.

I don't buy on borrowed money. If I want a leveraged play, I purchase call or put options. I am an all equity investor. Given low interest rates, my trading portfolio consists solely of dividend paying stocks with some capital gains upside. All of my longer term stuff is index funds with dollar cost averaging.

I used to make a lot more trading plays. As I have gotten older, my appetite for risk has gone way down.

These guys got lucky. They struck it big with a board games division (there are probably Avalon games in your parents basement) that was sold to Hasbro for like $8M. The investors wanted them to pay a big dividend instead of wasting the money. Fast forward several years later, and these guys blew all the money on a country restaurant called Peerce's Plantation on the Loch Raven Reservoir outside Baltimore, a concept called Girl's Life Living where kids would come play twister and the piano, a coffee and cigar shop called Adam Leaf and Bean, an adult male non-pornographic magazine called Adam. They had a column in the magazine called "You Auto Know" about cars. They didn't get an inspection done on the restaurant. After they bought it, they found it had severe structural damage.

They blew the entire $8M. The CEO Jackson is now a Coldwell Banker real estate agent. His picture looks like he drinks too much whiskey.

I think it's pretty classless that you can't hide your glee over the demise of BigFan.

So where is the quote from me saying the board was better when BF was running it?

I don't remember saying that, but my memory is lousy. If you can find it,please wake me.

Even if you did say it I wouldn't be bothered and you shouldn't either. You are 1-0 against Grim Reaper. None of this foolishness should get to you.

Completely normal.

jimmypasta keeps saying that he is confused and doesn't understand why things went down the way they did.

That is 100% correct, james. Nobody here does and you will drive yourself insane if you try to figure it out.
