Rozner just wanted to be a part of that aircheck in case it goes viral. He had nothing worthwhile to contribute, no "gotcha" avenues of his own, nothing. He knew this was Bernstein's show, he just wanted to be remembered as "part" of it.

Right. But also trying to say to Bernstein that "I'm with ya" to get the gig when Terry leaves.

I'm guessing if the real ex-wife emailed him it was in confidence, and he breached that. Believe me, I'm not calling anyone a lair, nor am I defending Paterno or Penn State in any way, but Danny's whole ITS.SWORN.TESTIMONY and perjury arguments are way off base for anyone who actually practices law. First, it completely ignores the fact that people lie under oath all the time in the courtroom not to mention in a deposition. Second, part of the reason for depositions is to catch people in a lie a trial because we know it's easier for people to lie in a deposition than it is in a courtroom (if that makes any sense).

Thanks, kirkwood.

Wow. Unreal. That is some messed up shit. This guy didn't rape kids. He just has an opinion (that is wrong, but still just an opinion). What a weird, sociopathic fuck. Truly, truly classless. That's all I got.

Right. I believe Paterno knew as well. But, like you said, the other guy made the correct points. And that's his perspective.

Well I just wasted 15 minutes of my life listening to the two sports related individuals I dislike the most. It is funny that Bernsie could not give much in the way of specifics, which is something he demands of callers.

And it is patently unfair to ask the trustees opinion of guilt or innocence. That would be akin to interviewing the family of a murder suspect. Of course the guy is going to say let the court actions play out. He represents Penn State and would be negilent in his duties to proclaim guilt in public.

Oh well. All look bad in the Penn State matter. No winners.

Also, John Doe's dep released today sounds a lot like it was by a party on "his" side of things, be it a prosecutor or the lawyer representing him in a civil suit. The question Bernstein hinges on seems so incredibly and unusually pointed and specific.

That is a problem he has in many situations. He relies on this sworn testimony thing I assume due to father. It's not that sacricint really.

Dafuq is this, now? Is there some ammo for an ad hominem attack which Bernstein would certainly lob at someone else?

No, you two are right ... within the context of that conversation he should've ceded the high-ground to make a remark similar to one he (rightfully) took offense to.

What's this now?
From 4 years ago so this took place in 2008.
Four years ago, I was at the bottom of a hole so deep, that I thought I would never be able to dig myself out. After nearly 40 years of fighting genetics from both sides of the family tree, a strong Type A personality, and never being able to say “no” to anything that was asked of me, my world crashed.

Well, I crashed, actually. Though there were probably signs my entire life, the façade finally cracked. I went from being in a bad mood to being in the emergency room in less than two weeks.

I had a nervous breakdown. A real one. Like many, I had used that terms dozens of times – when my job was stressful, my kids were driving me crazy, or I just had a few too many things on my “to do” list.

But let me tell you. There is a difference. I lost seven pounds in three days,
(Im sure Lil Danny had no issues with that) did not sleep for almost a week, could barely walk because I was shaking uncontrollably, and literally only saw the world in black and white.

When I was diagnosed with "borderline personality disorder," I became even more depressed. This is part of the bipolar spectrum, a term that makes people think of people that are truly crazy. (Well, at least I always felt that people that were bipolar were crazy. Certifiable, even.)

I felt defective. I felt horrible about myself. What did I do wrong? Why did I "turn out" this way? How can I "change" myself to not make me this way so I could just be "normal?"

What would people think? Would they ever let my kids play with theirs again? ("No John, you can't go over to Jason's house. His mom is a bit... unstable.")

Would my husband leave me? He didn't sign up for this. He thought he was marrying a "normal" person.
(imagine being her spouse!! )

To be perfectly honest, if I did not have two young children, I may not have made it. I lived minute-to-minute, thinking only of them.

With the help of an incredibly supportive husband (he did NOT leave me), top doctors I was fortunate enough to be introduced to, and the commitment of a few close friends with whom I shared my “secret,” I slowly began to rebuild – and reinvent – myself.

For over 15 years I had been known as either “Dan Bernstein’s wife” (my husband is a local radio talk show celebrity) or “Zoe and Jason’s mom.” I’m not sure some people I saw on a daily basis at my kids’ activities even knew my first name. I had no identity outside of identifying myself as “someone’s something.”

Wow. Where did she write that? You're right about the weight comment. Dan once said he weighs her every day. Doesn't want her over 90 pounds or else he won't be the loving husband that accepts her condition I guess.

Look, I have to be careful about how I say this, but... there was... a certain level of relief... when she committed herself. Now, I don't mean this in the traditional "helpless housewife" sense. I just mean that there was an intellectual freedom that... if we're being honest... made our children more likely to succeed without the tribalistic dogma of having to deal with a mentally ill caregiver, which we know has some causal effects that aren't looked kindly upon in the world of sophisticated public schools...

Boers & Bernstein on 670 The Score - Hour 4 - 07/12/2016

Dan & Barry start a wild hour 4 that gets started with an interview with Anthony Lubrano, a Penn State board of trustees member. He discusses the unsealing of documents in the Jerry Sandusky rape trial and generally evades some of the questions from Dan & Barry. The guys also talk more about Jake Arrieta's preference not to pitch in tonight's MLB All-Star game.

I'm gonna give it a listen now, but I love this description, considering that every single person in this thread, to a man and regardless of opinion on B&B, said that Bernstein got his ass handed to him.

Bernstein's wife has BPD? You'd think he would've been a bit more understanding of Brandon Marshall, and not made specific fun of his attempts to bring awareness to mental health issues (green shoes, etc.).

He didn't evade the questions.

It was just that his volume was turned down so low it was like a Bernstein soliloquy.
