It's not that interesting...my high school crew was out on a Saturday night and one of our friends wasn't picking up her phone, so I decided to call her and leave a message...the song came on the radio and we proceeded to sing along to the entirety of it (I played the part of Frampton's voice-box'd guitar).

She said her cell phone bill was outrageous because of the length of the message. We all wondered why she listened to it for more than five seconds.

I was 11 and would watch the older neighborhood kids get stoned to that album blaring from their garages. It looked like the basement scene in That 70's Show but in a garage.

Nay ... he's referring to the last track on the second side of the second record ("side 3").

btw, while i'm writing this i got that coke commercial on in the background repeating "if you feel that you're the spark then come on out of the dark!!!" over and over again, so it's not my fault that i'm technically off-topic.... i was programmed!

sleeper agent #37 doing his thing like "hey we've had at least 7-8 times since akira and tetsuo fucked up neo-tokyo.... it's gotta be better this time around, right?"

Perhaps .... it's not as deep as it used to be (a little more than two oversized milk crates ... had to thresh some out some time ago) ... it's more that it covers a wide expanse ... you'd find a number of things interesting to see if not listen to, ranging from:
Sting
Michael (Thriller, of course)
Jackie Gleason (he was as good a band leader as he was a comedian)
Frampton (we knew that one though)
Steely Dan (only Aja though ... maybe someday that'll be rectified); Donald Fagen
Beatles (original Sgt. Peppers, in rough shape though)
3 Dog Night
Coleman Hawkins
Stan Getz
Chicago I - X and a sweet-ass live album with all the neat inserts
Nat King Cole
Kenny Rogers
Bread
YES
CCR
Santana
Grand Funk RR
Many more ... and a good foot or so tall stack of 45s (incl'g Elvis, the Stones, Stevie Wonder, etc.).

Haven't hooked up the Marantz TT2200 in quite a while, nor the .... I forget now what it is ... want to say Onkyo but I don't think that's it ... they're probably still in good shape ... a couple of Garrard's may not be so well off.

Not an exciting post perhaps but at least it wasn't about people being sick or dead, so that's good.

btw, for what it's worth i've always said that i'd marry the chick who gifted me the hangable autobulb 2 12" by afx (aphex twin) --- i think back in the day it was a ~$100-125 record so idk if that's gone up or down over the last ~10yrs.

knowing my luck, someday i'll get some goofy semi-viral stupid internet video all like "they're actually supposed to be laughing WITH me" and some deranged "superfan" chick will discover my saying this right now; and thus i'll end up getting married to some kind of a frightening psychopath just to prove a point...

...and since i obviously have no friends i'll nominate IMU to be my best man =P

"CFMB vinyl collection" would probably be a spectacular thread....except for all of the Pink Floyd Darkside has.
