I think "religion" is a loosely used term. First of all Islam is a false religion. Any supposedly "holy" book that tells people if they kill people for their god that they get 50 virgins in heaven is clearly wrong. You murder innocent people you go to hell. Islam is not only a religion, but it is also a political system. In the West we believe that the church should not run the government and that allows people freedom of religion. Muslim countries institute the death penalty for converting to Christianity.

There have been unjust things done in the name of Christ no doubt, but people sincerely following his teaching are not killing anyone. If everyone practiced the golden rule of "treating others as you would like to be treated" much of the world's problems in terms of how people treat each other would be resolved.

That would be a better theory if Muslims weren't suicide bombing in Bangladesh, Turkey, Syria, etc.

Blowback is a real thing as actions have consequences but what we are seeing now, in a broader sense, is much much bigger than that. Nations are being drowned and in the verge of disintegrating and even going extinct or collapsing.

I think it's going to get worse before it gets better--ISIS is losing their grip on the amoeba-like "caliphate" territory and that is causing something of a radical islamic terrorist diaspora.

maybe we should air-drop flyers for "Florida! The Sunshine State!" and "It's A Good Time In DETROIT!" over the caliphate territories, along with UHAUL discount coupons.

Attacker in Nice was 'radicalized rapidly,' French interior minister says

Mind boggling is the gutlessness of the French government.

Hahahah.

BabyMcIslamApologist is at it again!

Either way, the terrorist was Muslim and he murdered over 50 people...I think that's pretty radical and extreme.

Accurate thread title.

They didn't want to "inflame" things further and make a certain sect of people feel bad.

Yesterday the BBC XM station had on a professor of Muslim studies (a Christian) and a leader of an Anti-Islamaphobia group (an Islamist group) they both agrees that it's France's fault for all of these attacks because they haven't done enough to "integrate" Muslims.

That's the thought process here. In 30 years it's going to be whatever is left of the native French population that's going to have to integrate or lose their heads. Literally!

There is no way to integrate Muslims into Western culture. Islam cannot be separated from politics.

Correct. But that won't stop an entire continent of people from ignoring history and the obvious. Religion, politics and war. Wrapped up in a nice warm tortilla.

One thing Orlando and Nice have done is shatter the myth of the "moderate Muslim". Neither attacker was some cave-dwelling lunatic who had been steadily radicalized from birth. They were job holding western born sons of immigrants who, to the naked eye, would seem fairly non devout. The exact type we were told after Paris, Brussels, 9/11, 7/7 etc. that we should not fear.

I have two sisters who would not be married if Ali had his way. One doesn't have to hate him to point out his own personal bias.

Oh brother! Look everyone, McClown reads Time magazine. He's a big boy now! So you made a very incorrect assertion, made an ass of yourself in the process and now waive Time magazine around for some reason.

Time magazine means jack shit, you're wrong and no one gives two shits what you have to say, nutso.

Ahh SomeGuy you simple minded fool. I said where the article was from because if I hadn't I would have been accused of it being from Salon. I've seen the same story from several outlets. I'm sorry that you are threatened by any publication not called Red State or owned by Uncle Rupert.

Ali who? Muhammad Ali the boxer? I don't understand how my feelings about him are pertinent to this topic. Anyway, unless you can show me in the Koran or Hadith where Elijah Muhammad is mentioned, I'm gonna say Ali wasn't a Muslim at all. But maybe it's a different Ali you're talking about.
