Donald Trump Jr. in 2024 could be nice.

She has expressed admiration for Clinton in the past, but she's been on news shows lately to support Trump.

I wasn't kidding. She is a paid staff member. I think she is in charge of minority outreach.

Yeah, she was on Fox last night talking about how she was going to be campaigning in Ohio, where Trump is polling at 0% among African-Americans and Hispanics.

She was throwing out that lie about her Chicago political organizing credentials twenty years ago. I had intimate knowledge of that local industry at the time she purported to be a player and never once ran across her name. I don't think she could feed herself on what she earned in the political arena. There are a lot of charlatans in that world.

Report: Trump camp offered to make Kasich 'most powerful VP in history'

Donald Trump's campaign reached out to Ohio Gov. John Kasich in May with an offer to make him the "most powerful vice president in history," The New York Times reported Tuesday.

Trump's oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., reached out to a Kasich adviser after the Ohio governor ended his own Republican presidential campaign, promising that if he accepted the vice presidency, Kasich would be in charge of domestic and foreign policy.

The adviser asked what Trump would be in charge of, the report said, and Trump Jr. responded: "Making America great again."
Kasich has refused to endorse Trump, the GOP's presidential nominee, for president, and won't speak at this week's Republican National Convention even though it's taking place in his home state.

He has said Trump shouldn't expect an endorsement anytime soon.

"Unless I see a fundamental change in that approach, it’s really hard for me to do a merger," he said in May.

Trump eventually tapped Indiana Gov. Mike Pence to be his running mate, announcing his decision last week.

IMO, IF I had to vote for one of the Republicans, he was the one.

That guy a couple elections ago, I think he was ambassador to china, was a good candidate. He just didn't have the wallet to compete. I think he was Romneys 3rd cousin, or something like that.

I still can't believe the day after that they put Carson on stage to talk about Hillary being in league with literal Satan.

It's mind-boggling in the truest sense of the phrase. One could incur severe neck damage at all the bewildered head shaking it can cause if you consider it for too long a time.

Kasich supports a balanced-budget amendment while also advocating a multi-billion dollar increase in military spending. That's lethal stupidity.

TM,
name a candidate and they can be picked apart. Kasich seemed qualified to be POTUS compared to being a billionaire business man or some former President's wife who moved to New York because Illinois had no Democrat openings for a US Senator at the time.

And the idea that he is some kind of moderate is laughable. He appears to be a nice guy who smiles a lot. Just because he isn't a frothing at the mouth lunatic like Trump or Cruz, doesn't make him a moderate.

He's pragmatic. He's proven that with some of the unions in Ohio and they've endorsed him. IMO he would have been the best republican candidate.

I've seen, on numerous occasions (not exclusively here), the now-predictable claim of his being a 'moderate' and the reflexive retort that he's not a moderate just because he's not a loon (or some derivative of that).

What I don't recall seeing, in any abundance anyway, is anything asserting either side's position.

I'd probably enjoy, for a change, informed responses backing either side of that call and response.

Would Donald Trump Quit if He Wins the Election? He Doesn’t Rule It Out

... Presented in a recent interview with a scenario, floating around the political ether, in which the presumptive Republican nominee proves all the naysayers wrong, beats Hillary Clinton and wins the presidency, only to forgo the office as the ultimate walk-off winner, Mr. Trump flashed a mischievous smile.

“I’ll let you know how I feel about it after it happens,” he said minutes before leaving his Trump Tower office to fly to a campaign rally in New Hampshire.

It is, of course, entirely possible that Mr. Trump is playing coy to earn more news coverage. But the notion of the intensely competitive Mr. Trump’s being more interested in winning the presidency than serving as president is not exactly a foreign concept to close observers of this presidential race. ...

I find it to be entirely inappropriate, not to mention unbecoming, that he did not flatly answer 'no', even if in fact he has planned since day one to bail out.
