Here are some. You can read any number of articles to confirm.

-Ohio has some of the most restrictive laws regarding women's reproduction
-He wanted to dramatically increase military spending
-He supported an Ohio constitutional ban on gay marriage (although he said he would follow the Supreme Court's ruling)
-He reluctantly agrees that climate change is real, but doesn't want to do anything about it
-He wanted to put a freeze on ALL federal regulations (you know, to help out the job creators), with the EPA's climate regulations first on the docket
-He has a hardline anti-drug policy, including being against medical marijuana
-He believes that the stories in the bible are historical facts
-He is on board with not letting Obama name a SC judge to replace Scalia
-His tax plan would have been another gift to the wealthy (he believes in trickle down economics)
-He would have cut food stamps and Medicare programs for states
-He would have repealed Obamacare
-He wanted to cut Social Security
-His first order of business in Ohio was to limit collective bargaining for public sector unions
-He has made it harder for the people of Ohio to vote
-The NRA gives him a grade of A

You could have made a similar list for Obama prior to being elected to say he isn't a moderate either.

Women aren't allowed to reproduce in Ohio? That is messed up.

What does Obama have to do with whether or not Kasich is a moderate?

Good point.
The point is that you can take any politician and make them seem however moderate or not based on some issues. Kasich is a Republican. He is going to agree with a lot of Republican ideas. Obama is a Democrat. He is going to agree with a lot of Democratic ideas.

I think Kasich would be a much better President than either Hillary or Trump.

No shit, Sherlock. There are moderates and hardcores in both parties. For some reason, Kasich is viewed as a moderate. He doesn't want to build a wall along the Mexican border, or round up millions of illegals, so compared to Trump and Cruz, he appears moderate. In my opinion, he really isn't, as he has MANY extreme positions. I have no interest in arguing about Obama or Hillary with you.

Well, bully for you. I'm not voting for somebody who thinks that the stories in the bible are historical facts, among other reasons.

Come on man. I used the current President of the United States to make a point about a potential President of the United States(though it seems as if he may not win the nomination this year) and you act like I'm completely out of line for doing it.

You are coming off like the "Why are you always mentioning GWB?" people.

DT asked me to list some reasons why Kasich isn't a moderate, so I listed MANY. I didn't realize doing so would turn the discussion into a referendum on Obama, or I wouldn't have posted anything at all.

Why, because I don't feel like arguing with you? Have a nice day, Rick.

Pretty much. It is like the game telephone. By the end of the game you have a few things still correct but the message has drastically changed. They told stories that were past down orally for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Not a chance in hell they were the same as when the first story was told.

We are going down a slippery slope now, as I don't want to offend anybody's beliefs. Personally, the bible means nothing to me, and it scares me when a politician talks about religion and faith, as much as a guy like Kasich does. Most of the time, these politicians are hard right conservatives, hence why I listed that as one of MANY reasons why he is more right than center.

I am definitely not saying that Jesus Christ can't hit a curve ball.

True, but your emphasis was on his biblical view in the end.

He covered it very well above. Also, there is zero way to verify many of the events in it. It was a oral history, passed down through different languages, and then translated many times over. Who knows what it said at first.

It's mostly a book of fables, vaguely reflecting the values of the time period.

What do you want from me here? I'm certainly not going to get in a long discussion about religion.
