The same guy who declared that the Cubs had 'waves and waves of talent', was then making excuses that too many young players were forced into action due to Fowler's injury. What a clown.

Lawrie is getting on my nerves. The pitcher threw him the same pitch three times in a row and he couldn't make an adjustment or lay off it. He's in swing mode way too often.

Beautiful beautiful piece of hitting by Anderson. Gave himself up and was rewarded for it. He's so good.

This rain better hold off. Detroit is one of the few teams the Sox can win the battle of the bullpens.

No way. Never even remotely linked to them.

This shitfuck team couldn't hit their way out of a wet paper bag right now. What a joke. Trade anybody, fire everybody.

I know this is going to suck, but I would support this rebuild. Trade Sale for a few top prospects, same with Quintana. With those 2, restocking the minors would be a huge(Trump's voice) step. Really, get rid of Melky, Robertson, Frazier, Lawrie, and at this point The Cuban.

There's an opportunity to remake this team quickly. They need to take it.

It has been a long run too. For years now no one can hit anymore when they come here. Then when a hitter gets a little warmed up no one around them can do the same. A terrible string.

/AGREED

I hope he gets top pitching prospects back in return, and NOT to trade with the Cubs.

Yes.

Shields
Frazier
Cabrera
Quintana

Hell, if they can get something for Abreu I'm in.

I would probably go to more games during a rebuild than I have the past couple of seasons. I don't think I have been to a game after May 31st in 3 or 4 years now.

There is clearly something wrong with the coaching/approach. Too many guys get here and forget how to hit.

It's tough to support a rebuild when then last trade netted Avi Garcia. Rather clean house manager/GM then trade. Kenny and Hahn can't judge young talent at all.

Agreed. And I would think if you can get a Kings ransom for Sale, you take it. Texas has a stocked system and always seem wiling to deal. Burn it down and start over.

But my guess is they keep Sale, Quintana, and Abreu and try to trade everyone else.

Jake Peavy was not Chris Sale. All the Sox gave up for Peavy was Poreda, and where is he? He had 1 pitch.

Turner for the Sox. Sprinkle a good amount on Detroit. Eventually this gravy train will end.

Poreda was a good prospect at the time, and they also traded Clayton Richard, who was a decent starter. The point being is that they traded an asset, and got hoodwinked into taking back trash.

You really trust Hahn to win a Chris Sale trade?

Hahn, yes. Kenny, no. I think Hahn has convinced Kenny, it is time to rebuild. Or, Kenny is out after the year is done.

I feel Hahn has/had a plan, and that was to rebuild. Kenny's mission statement is ALWAYS go for it. Remember what he said about the white flag trade? No way Kenny let's Rick say, they might rebuild without something happening.

Not sure what you mean, but I appreciate the Million Dollar title belt.

I think Abreu might be a trade possibility.

If it were me, the untouchables would be Fullmer, Rodon, Anderson, and Eaton. I wouldn't actively shop Sale but if somebody knocked me out, I'd pull the trigger. The problem is, I don't trust the Sox to know what to get back.

Why would Eaton be an untouchable?

Eaton is their best position player, he's in the prime of his career, and he has a team friendly contract. Also, I don't think you could get good value for him. He's just not high profile. I mean, this season should put to rest the idea that Jason Heyward is a better player than Eaton, but I don't believe it has.
