Whatever you think about Gingrich and his politics, and I'm not a fan, he seemed like a voice of reason in this shitshow. He's the only person that has taken the stage at this convention that I wouldn't be embarrassed to have representing me. Maybe Paul Ryan fits into that category. These aren't guys that I'd want to vote for, but at least they seem like competent adults. The rest of these people are fucking lunatics.

The republican field was filled with candidates that were complete non starters for me. That is pretty rare.

I liked the crossover episodes. But I don't think I ever watched her show on its own.

She was hotter than Ivanka, though. You would think the technology would have improved.

I knew it too and immediately flashed back to the episode where he sings to her. &0's tv could be cheesy.

Are we finally out of well spoken and politically smart Trump family members? They could be the next great political family like the Kennedy family and the Bush family.

Every member of the Trump family is a better public speaker than Scott Walker. Wisconsin is weird.

My favorite episode was the two part event where he battled Bigfoot.

That was the best.

Might have to do a Netflix search tonight.

Bigfoot vs. Trump.

Game's already over. This is just playing four corners til the votes are tallied.

Aren't you the same guy who has been predicting that Elizabeth Warren would be the next president for the past year?

So let's recap ...

- John Kasich basically has the convention in his backyard and only got out of his chair to close the drapes, EVEN AFTER Trump basically offered him both domestic and foreign policy control as VP (wait, I thought Pence was Trump's first choice?!?);
- Neither living (R) presidents will endorse Trump under any circumstances;
- JEB! appears to ready to endorse the Libertarian candidate;
- Neither of the previous two (R) nominees will endorse Trump under any circumstances ... I don't think either one is even at the convention, not to mention however many congressman and senators missed out on the quadrennial hookers-and-blow extravaganza;
- Lyin' Ted breaks bad on Trump in prime time and, to some folks, inexplicably cuts a slightly sympathetic figure in the process;

And we still have the candidate himself to bloviate yet tonight.

'Cavalcade of Fuckery' is the most polite term there is for this ..... whatever 'this' is.

Trump's bad mouth and bad manners are to blame for the bad blood on the convention floor, and yet the delegates and media act surprised that Cruz didn't endorse Donald Trump? You have to be kidding me. Cruz was kind after he, his wife and father were insulted by Trump without any apology. Though it was the wrong setting for this kind of speech, Cruz was reminding the delegates and the country of the history and principles of the Republican party, before he told them to vote with their conscience, which was an indictment of their hypocrisy in supporting Trump. The speech went over everyone's heads, because they were focusing on Cruz not endorsing Trump and the boos; but the truth is that, along with Newt's, Cruz's speech was the most poignant of the whole night.

Republican's are in the mess, because they chose a candidate whose negatives make him unelectable in the general election, if it wasn't for the fact that the Democrat candidate is just as contemptible, but for different reasons. They should have had the courage to go with a conservative, but now they have to sleep in the bed they've made for themselves, and it's pretty ugly.

Very well written. I had no problem with Cruz's speech. He did lay out what the party should stand for (in his opinion). And for many life long Republican this is a vote about conscience. Let's be quite frank- you will feel dirty voting for Trump. He represents hatred, negativity, ugly Americanism, ego, hypocrisy. Think about his hypocrisy with the way his company hires and sources products vs his comments on immigration, low wages, and foreign manufacturing.

The problem is that Cruz is far worse than Trump. Trump is an idiot who says stupid stuff but doesn't really believe it. Cruz is an idiot who says stupid stuff but actually believes it.

I think Cruz is a weasel and very likely the devil but I had no issue with his speech. If he had punched Trump I think he would have been justified in doing so.

Cruz may even be worse than Bernie by a small margin.

Agreed.

I said a long while back that Cruz is too smart to have the thoughts he has.

Trump, despite his constantly telling everyone he and his family all went to Penn, does not strike me as particularly bright.
