I take my shoes off when i get home, but I surely don't expect my guests to do so when they come over. Likewise, I don't expect to have to take my shoes off when I'm a guest at someone's place unless they are covered in snow and slush. In which case I do so voluntarily.

If I was ever invited to Danny's house I would wear my old school golf shoes with spikes and fuck up his nice floors.

We agree on this. I hate wearing socks or being without a sandal or shoe on in general. And if I take shoes or boots off to walk on your pristine floor I am going to powder it with menthol foot powder and or spray. I do not do smelly or athletes foot ever.

I have a Muslim patient at work and they have a sign on the front door stating its their religious custom to take shoes off. That's about the only time I ever do it though. People have vacuums, brooms and a woman that knows how to use them. My shoes also have a strange odor like stale nacho cheese Doritos.

I've noticed that if it's just a couple of people hanging out, shoes usually come off...

If it's a party...they stay on.
