In the cold, you can keep adding layers. In the heat, once you're naked, there's nowhere else to go.

You have to be in shape to enjoy the summer and this is America where hardly anyone is in shape.

The only thing I like about summer is baseball season and it being light out longer.

Other than that, it's too hot and there's too many people out. I'm not a fan of people.

I was out in that shit for 15 hours yesterday. It sucked. But... you kind of do get used to it.

Well you don't have to worry about that heat now... This massive storm has it down to 72 and dropping.

It's going right back up to 92, though. WHERE IT BELONGS.

Darko, I know you have been really earning your paycheck lately but can you please answer/confirm/comment on one more thing?

Yesterday on WGN Mr. Fix It, Lou Manfredini, said that when it is above 85 degrees with this kind of humidity, you are better to have your central air unit switched over to fan and not auto. It is supposed to be better for the outside compressor and uses much less electricity even though the fan is continually running. He also said something about the cold air returns are continually recirculating the cool air more often?

Did I hear that correctly or did I misremember a detail? What say you, sir?

Thanks - I'll hang up and listen for the answer...

who?

j/k

Among all the TV series we've brought over from the UK, Peep Show is prolly too Brit-bizarre and bone-dry even for folks who became fans of the original Office UK after catching on via the Office US.

Everyone has seen Simon Pegg's old series 'SPACED' tho? At least the first season. Gotta watch that.

Well, leaving the fan on will indeed destratify Temps in multilevel houses, though not perfectly. As far as it being better for the compressor... I can't imagine why. Perhaps his thought is that it will cycle less. Either way... Yeah I don't know why he thinks that.
That being said I tend to tell people to leave the fan on most of the time anyway. Make sure you change your filters more often if you do this.
But I'm pretty sure having the fan on does nothing to save the compressor. Sounds like bs.
