It might, just might, also have something to do with the players sucking out loud on balance.

How did this happen? Did he sneak in with scissors? Everybody just watched while he cut up some jerseys?

They probably all laughed. Everybody loves a workplace dustup when they're on the sidelines watching it.

Ventura slept thru the whole thing, and the rumor is he did this when the team went out for batting practice. Which is why Matt Albers found out around 4:15 that he was starting a 6pm game.

He crawled through the duct work and got them from the Tigers trainer

If Drake LaRoche was still on the team this Sale jersey situation never would have happened.

Losing manager Robin Ventura.

Losing manager Robin Ventura.

Has no impact on the game.

It looks like he bought a generic jersey from an athletic supply store and had the name and number sewn on by someplace in Peacock Alley in Ford City.

Fight for his players?
Over the jerseys?
Dude needs to learn how to pick his battles.

Boston Red Sox ace pitcher Chris Sale was caught on video having a destructive meltdown in the dugout after he was removed from a rehab start in Worcester on Wednesday night.

Video taken by Brian O’Neil and shared with Boston 25 News showed Sale walking into the dugout tunnel at Polar Park and going berserk after being pulled from a game against the Scranton/Wiles-Barre Railriders.

Sale could be seen bashing a baseball bat off the wall before yanking, kicking, and smashing what appears to be a television.

The 33-year-old lefty did strike out five batters in the game, but he also racked up five walks over 3 2/3 innings.

When asked about his performance at a postgame press conference, Sale said, “It was all just frustration. I’ve gone months without walking five guys...Nothing’s wrong, I just have some things that I have to cleanup.”

Sale hasn’t pitched for Boston this season because he suffered a stress fracture in his rib cage in February.

It's a minor league dugout. You want to take a bat and take our your frustrations on a dumpster behind the stadium, go nuts. What a complete douche.

Fuckin' child. In the meantime, Max Scherzer bought a $7000 steak and lobster spread for his teammates when he was on a rehab assignment.

Almost as generous as Kopech buying those four fans souvenir HR balls the other night.

I've never closely followed the sports scene of any other town, so maybe this is universal, but we seem to have a nasty habit of turning on guys who left town. Is Sale a child? Sure, but so are most professional athletes.
