730 AM and our neighbor is mowing? GTF outta here with that.

i got you beat....630 AM on a Sunday. was a few months ago
and this is the neighbor who complained about my music being loud at 9pm on a Friday night

my feeling is by 9 you're definitely in the clear
8 is kinda pushing it but i'd be ok with it. anything before that and you're an asshole

7am on weekdays, 8am on saturday, 8:30 on sunday. Don't like it? You're a whiny Caller Bob.

8 on a weekday is OK, but yeah pushing it a bit. Earlier than 9 on a weekend is rude.

Fuck these morning people. In the summer months, i always cut the lawn after 6pm when the sun is going down so its cooler. At that point most of my yard isnin the shade anyway.

i should say that in all honesty I don't really care. I get up for work early so on the weekends I rarely sleep in, my body won't let me. So his 630 mowing didn't wake me up, I was up already. I didn't call him out on it because we don't speak to each other , so i'm not going to initiate contact of any kind with him unless it's something extremely nuts

Our noise ordinance in town says you can jackhammer at 7:30, might as well mow too.

This is how I feel on the subject. I am an early riser every day so it wouldn't bother me, but generally try not to mow before 9.

yeah that is what I don't get. And on top of that the dew can be a problem as well. I usually mow in the evenings.

I don't recall the exact story but it was in the last 10 years or so?..

Anyway, there was a weird couple in one of the suburbs who were involved in a major national news story.

Stories started trickling out about their idiosyncrasies and one of the neighbors commented that the guy was so odd and unsociable that he purposely waited for dark and mowed his lawn using a miner's type hat for light.

Anybody recall this?

100% agree on the dew in the morning. I will never mow in the mornings because of that problem. Wet grass is terrible to clean from a mower. Evenings is where its at.
