My coworker, who isn't overweight, runs marathons, etc., has been asked twice in the last week at clients when she is due. She's not pregnant. I had a buddy ask this many years ago to a girl who wasn't pregnant. Luckily it was NYE, and I claimed intoxication for him. I could literally see a woman in the delivery room, with the baby halfway out, and still not ask when she's due. I would be horrified to be wrong with the pregnancy inquiry. Ever been that fool?

Agreed. One time I was trying to get up on this chick named Katie. She had a really cool necklace on with a stylized "K". I said something like, "That thing around your neck is really cool." She got all strange and walked away. My buddy whose girlfriend was friends with her asked what I did to Katie. I told him and he said, "Dude, didn't you notice that huge birthmark on her neck? That's what she thought you were talking about!" I still feel bad about that.

Just had this thought fly through my brain yesterday. I stopped at the bank to make some account changes, the young lady who recently was promoted to branch manager helped me- she was sporting a little bulge as she sat at her desk. I stopped myself long before actually speaking the words.

Then my partner and I went for lunch at Woodies, the bar that used to be the Red Coach back in the days. we always called it the Red Roach when my hoodlum pals and I would get served underage there, on our way from punk rock band practice to the track...
