"This account of Trump’s 30-year history of business with Russia — and that of his advisers — is based on interviews as well as a review of deposition transcripts and other court records in which Trump and his associates have discussed their overseas work. Trump declined to be interviewed for this article, as did top campaign aides and most members of his foreign policy team. The Kremlin also declined to comment about Trump’s visit to Moscow."

But the problem is it's not the other way around. And now, due their incompetence, they may end up losing an election. What's done, is done. They were made aware of a major problem and did nothing. The anger needs to be directed at the proper source.

That may very well be true but this may shine a spotlight on Trump now. Trump's love of Putin appears to be economically based. It appears that Trump and people involved with his campaign have business ties to Russia.

That is going to be a tough sell for the Clinton's considering their own economic ties to Russia.

Not as familiar with her dealings but I do know that she is a long time critic of Putin's. She also is on record for criticizing Putin's aggressions against former satellite states. Trump praises the hell out of Putin and is on record as saying that he won't support Nato allies in that part of the world. That's HUUUGE.

He can reach across the aisle and has the experience to lead the longtime democrat states and cities through the inevitable process. They're gonna need it.

Donald J is a uniter.

Does that mean the cities get to keep their money, like he did?

What difference woukd that make? The city/state obligations are to their respective citizens. They've already failed in that aspect.

So, there was absolutely no point in connecting Donald's bankruptcies to Democratic cities?

I was kinda hoping you were.

That or your sense of humor was overtaken by your partisanship.

This site shows all municipalities to declare bankruptcy since 1/1/10. Looks like a whole lot of red cities and states. So, take that shit somewhere else.

I made fun of Trump's multiple bankruptcies. Your response was about the Democratic cities that went bankrupt (ignoring the fact the Republican led cities have also declared bankruptcy), yet I am blinded by partisanship? Oh brother.

Have a good night.

You know full well that's not how local politics works. It could be part of the county which may be a different color than the city, which may be a different color than the state.

Six of the nine cities that filed were from 'blue' states. You must've missed that.

My initial post was meant to be funny. I'm sorry you've lost the ability to laugh at the sorry state of our current political class.

Thanks, I always have a good night.

I laugh at Trump and I laugh at you, no partisanship here.

You have a wonderful evening, too.

Blinded by Partisanship

Wasn't that an 80s album by Thomas Dolby?

I do not think going after Trump for bankruptcies will get much traction except possibly with the lowest level of voter. There are a couple reasons for this that are pretty simple. First, bankruptcy does not have as much of a stigma as it did in the past. In the last twenty years or more many people have used it to reorganize or liquidate in hard times. If they have not it is likely someone they know closely did. Second, people also understand that bankruptcy is a tool not a punishment especially with corporations. Many watch the news and saw airlines especially constantly in and out of bankruptcy. There is no shock value.

I understand hypocrisy is how politics work but how can they make a big deal about Trumps bankruptcies and then act like the multiple unethical things that Hillary has been involved in don't matter because she was never charged?

Hillary has said her & Bill were broke when they left the Whitehouse. So that's ok?

the way the Democrats spun Trump's BR's this week could have some traction among the voters that Romney failed to reach and then lost completely with his 47% comment. i.e., Trump = the GC on a project who keeps putting off final payments due to the subs "until I get paid" and then as soon as the last check to the GC clears and he's paid himself and all his pals and off-shored the rest, he runs to court and has the Corp set up for the project file BR to screw the subs out of their remaining balances due.

It would seem that they're both going to try to draw attention to how HUGE the other person's shitpile is while spending little, if any, time managing their own.

I also think hitting him on having his shit made overseas is a dead end for her. He's just going to say that's what he was forced to do after her people agreed to NAFTA, etc. and he was loathe to do it but he had to compete. He's gonna change all that and manufacturing will return to the U.S. including his own.

Most of her "scandals" were made up. Besides they're not pointing out the unethical things in Trump's past. They're just pointing out his business failings.

Unless they actually get him for something illegal, he can always fall back on he played the game the DNC helped to create. That will play well to his base. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
