How's that? What the fuck did Trump have to do with his son's death? He would have been more accurate to rebuke the Clintons who have also made no sacrifices and have actually helped shape U.S. policy.

Mr Khan's comments were directed at Trump because of the crazy beliefs Trump and MANY others have about Muslims. Mr. Khan's son made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and saved lives in the process but people like Trump who has done nothing but take believe Muslims can't be peaceful people who love America.

It's certainly been lucrative for the Clintons.

It certainly has. That doesn't negate their service or sacrifice. Being Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders doesn't mean that you're a better public servant.

So serving in the military is the only sacrifice you can make for your country? If not what are the other ways?

That we should ban all Muslims because of their religious beliefs. Somehow they can't love their religion and America.

Nope. We don't ban KKK members or Nazis. We just don't defend their fucked up beliefs.

Serving in the military in and of itself is a very minimal sacrifice. Unless you served in combat in hostile territory, you didn't sacrifice enough to warrant mentioning. Hillary and Bill Clinton did not sacrifice anything for this country. JORR is completely accurate in that regard. It's foolish to suggest they have.

No, you're missing my point. I'm taking issue with him pointing out Trump's lack of sacrifice. It's not relevant. No candidate has made the sacrifice his son did.

His son didn't die defending the United States. He died attacking another country. Let's not use the fucked up euphemisms conservatives like to use to excuse them sending young men off to die for pointless political reasons. And I don't think it's just a semantics argument. The different phrases have completely different meanings.

Obviously all of the candidates are alive. His comments were directed at Trump because Trump and MANY others don't believe people like Mr Khan or his son can love America because of their faith. Clearly those beliefs are Islamophobic bullshit.

There's no such thing as "Islamophobia". A phobia is an irrational fear. I don't think being concerned about a couple hundred million people who clearly want to wipe out Western society is an irrational fear. If he wants to talk about squaring his faith with Western values he should do that rather than singling out one candidate for the same lack of sacrifice enjoyed by all candidates.

Whoever made the decision to give him the forum. Are you really arguing that he was there to do anything besides bash Trump?

He didn't do that though. He just slammed Trump for failing to make a sacrifice that no candidate has made. Trump never attacked his son. He didn't know who he was.

(straw man alert!)of course the reason he was asked to speak was to bash Trump...by contrast. I am questioning your accusation against "democrats". If they didn't tell him what to say then your point is baseless.

No it isn't. They found a guy willing to use his son's death in the service of their candidate. I don't find that admirable.
