Might end up being a little closer than you think but she will win. She will be awful, not more awful than trump, but still awful. It all makes me want to puke.

It is tiresome.

Just wait for the people during the primaries to wake up and pay attention....

Just wait for Jeb to get his act together....

Just wait for Cruz's ground game to catch up with him...

Just wait for Rubio to start to pull the gloves off...

Just wait for the Republican party to stop him...

Just wait for the NeverTrump people to do their stuff...

Now it has become:

Just wait he is imploding from the inside....

Just wait he does not even want the job...

Just wait the full weight of the Party is going to come down on him...

Just wait he is going to step aside...

 I cannot figure out who is crazier....Trump or some of you guys who keep thinking his demise is imminent

Newsflash: Love him or hate him he is not going away. He is going to be around to November.

Hillary is going to have to beat him on election day. Maybe she will, maybe she won't...but he is not going away.

What is tiresome is seeing people who keep talking about how his loss is inevitable yet continuously make arguments as to why he will beat Hillary. That in addition to those who ignore Trump's obvious flaws yet focus on investigations that have been concluded and faux scandals in the hopes that it can knock her out.
Now they are pinning their hopes on Julian Assange. If they can speculate on the non story without rebuke then why can't Trump detractors?

I think she will be the 2nd or 3rd best President in my lifetime. Only Bill and Nixon better.

I have said on numerous occasions he is a very flawed candidate. I believe I have also called him a douchebag several times.

I just find it comical how people continue to believe he is some how just going away.

I would think you would understand how people can look past Trumps flaws since you continue to look past Hillarys flaws and somehow believe she will be one of the greatest presidents of your lifetime. I completely get believing she will win, but saying she will be one of the greats is crazy.

The real discontented didn't even bother to show up to vote. Or they crossed over for Rand Paul or even Drumpf.

Combine Sanders + Trump + 3rd parties and the majority opinion in the electorate as a whole (cuz that's who will be voting in November) is anti party-establishment.

But Sanders voters are overwhelmingly reporting that they will vote for Clinton in the general election.

Anti-DNC doesn't seem to correlate with being pro-Trump.

Also, Clinton is apparently going to win the women's and non-white votes by record margins. This means that Trump will have to win roughly 80% of the white male vote in several battleground states (Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida, for starters) to swing the election his way. That prospect is highly unlikely right now, especially given that Trump's popularity among white men is decreasing.

You're hardly one to be mocking prognostications, given that not too long ago you were 100% certain that Warren was going to be the Democratic nominee.

Do you think Trump is going to garner a lot of support among white women and people of color?

Polls again? Those worked so well in the primaries

[Nate Silver] called Indiana for Hillary with 90% certainty, Michigan with like 99+%, and called Wisconsin a toss-up (went 56-43 Sanders). That's some serious whiffing on the dear old Midwest.

I'm not sure if he's addressing my argument or not. I'm not saying Trump will be removed from the ticket by the powers-that-be. I'm saying that he doesn't want to be president and that he is getting more anxiety by the day about not only being president but the scrutiny he will face as we get closer (including debates in which he may have to form actual thoughts).

As a result, I think he is going to find a way to weasel out. If it happens, I have no idea how it will be spun, who will be involved to help him, etc. I don't think we the people will get a full, honest recollection of what happened.

I could obviously be wrong, but if anyone thinks he's not having a lot of regrets about where he's at, I think they're not reading him very well.

Exactly. which is why the General requires less of a ground-game than the Primary.

Primary, Trump had to campaign and give speeches in California, New York, Illinois, and even redder-than-a-baboon's ass states like Mississippi and Alabama. Why would he waste a minute campaigning in any of those states in the General Election? He's either going to win or lose them going away.

Primary = have to touch and compete in pretty much all fifty states.

General election comes down to a handful of states. Trump can basically campaign in the Rust-Belt full-time; with the occasional side-trips to Florida for some golf, Colorado for some weed or Nevada for some black-jack or Virginia for some, uh, virgins.

which the above strategy, while potentially highly effective to get Trump elected President, could have devastating effects (or no effect, or a postive effect) down-ticket.

the principal reason guys like Romney would campaign in, say, Southern California in 2012, would be to raise money and support local candidates.

If Trump sez, "fuck the media, I generate plenty of free-media coverage, so I'm not spending a billion dollars on bullshit media buys". Then he doesn't need to spend much time fund-raising. And then if he tells the RNC: "My job is to get elected President. Let me focus on that, you guys worry about your Congressional and State races. "... Image

I don't look past her flaws I accept them because all politicians are flawed. All people are flawed. I don't think her flaws will be destructive for the country because run of the mill politicians don't destroy the country. I never said all time great either.

If you think he is going to win by holding rallies twittering and doing talk shows you are delusional.

The choice to dropout may not be up to him either. If his staff rebels then he will have no choice. You can't run a campaign without a staff. This "new way of politics" really does have people snowed.
