Look, I'm not gonna lie .... I had zero recollection of that .... I even had to hit Baseball Reference to make sure you weren't high or lying or both.

 The correct answer is both, but it happened I swear

I guess I don't recall Edmonds being a Lackey like red ass, was he?

85 games / 298 PAs // OB% = .369 / OPS = .937 / 19 HRs / 45 BBs / 58 Ks // 1.1 WAR (defensively not so great)

Part of the year he was with the Padres .... he sucked ass when he was there.

Yeah he came in and played pretty well as a midseason pickup in the CF in a year that the Cubs had a need there. (Thanks Corey Patterson)

.256/19/49 with a .369 OBP at 38 years old. SOLID.

In Lackey's world it's against protocol to lay down a bunt? What the hell is mad at Gordon for?

 You gotta love him.

My youngest daughter is at her first Cubs game today with her Aunt. Got to see some nice defensive plays so far. Now hopefully get to see some Cub runs

Got to love it?

Beats me maybe he punched the guy after the picture was snapped. I remember him being a punk ass on the Cards, but my bright burning hatred for the Cards could cloud my otherwise clear eyed judgment. But it's a similar situation to the Lackey thing where a hated dipshit comes in and does decent work near the end of their career for the Cub.

Inarguable.

Still, it seems better to have him rather than have to deal with him ... so far anyway

No HRs for the Coob since Friday. Run differential in that span is still good (a lot of that from Friday though) ... +12 right now.

Smith and Montgomery giving up home runs in their Cubs' debuts. Way to fix the bullpen!

I thought maybe Lackey could go an entire start without giving up a home run but NOPE. Fuck this guy, he sucks.

Really looks like most of the bullpen fliers Theo went after this season have been real turds. Saw Ogando was just released by the Dbacks, maybe they could reform him in time for the playoffs.

Cubs have like 20 guys for all the pen spots but only 3 or 4 produce. That's not good.

Nice comeback win for the sweep! Can't wait for some sour ass Sox fans to stop by to tell me how worried I should be rooting for the team with the best record in baseball.

I guess. Talk about giving a game away. And with 2 outs.

Too much bread and a little bit dry. Overall, it was petty good but could have used some Italian salad dressing.

Wife had a dream last night I was choking her with oxygen tubing I use at work. I asked her what she did and if I completed the deed. She was speechless. Guess I got her.
