In my time viewing Cub baseball, I don't know if I've ever seen a more gifted defensive infielder than Baez.

Ryno is my all time favorite player, but man, there's no way he's making some of the plays this Javy kid is.

The board's baseball expert 312player says he is an average infielder, at best.

I was gonna go with Gary Scott, but that's a good one.

Texas Ranger bench coach.

Ex Cubs are everywhere. Hell, it's a Soto - Nolasco combo for the Angels tonight.

I kid. Baez is the most talented defender I've ever seen in Cubs gear. Talent doesn't equal consistency, but he's so talented, it's insane.

Nobody ever mentions the bespectacled Vance Law.

I'll second all of this. He's a human highlight reel.

Don't forget, the Cubs had Ron Cey, which I don't know what that means.

Rudy Law's brother.

At least according to 1980's White Sox tv commercials.

He also says he can out-fish me, which is even more absurd.

Well, it wasn't surprising that your complex only had some small fish with an undeserved sense of accomplishment.

Ehh, I kid. I'd like another crack at it. Maybe we can have a Cub playoff/leash puts it on the line party. I'll bring Arby's!

Did Trout get thrown out? Wasn't sure if the ump was telling him to get the fuck out of his face or if he was gone.

so uh hey when did they get rid of the 2nd "V" in jav/v/y baez?

i've noticed that these scoreboard-lineup thingies (presumably from the cubs' twitter account?) have tried to put some colloquialisms out there for the guys** and hey god bless cuz this is THE YEAR and all.... but can we have an official ruling on whether it's javvy baez or javy baez?

** = tho not as noticeably as the diamondbacks broadcast where you'll never hear the full name "goldschmidt" or you'll want to throw something at your TV when steve berthiaume insists on "BEEF WELLINGTON" Casitillo cuz go figure the ESPN is still strong in this one.

also holy shit the angles suck this year, eh? and yes sic re: "angles" because when the angels are shit they're the angles, like one of the top-10 twitter trends when pujols signed that incredibly forward-thinking deal a few years back.

and wow that was about as close to getting a HR as you can get at wrigley. gg jav/v/y.

You might want to save your anger for the playoffs. There is so little frustration to be had these days as the Cubs are beating up on the bad.
