I'm certainly not an ARod fan, but Girardi is acting like a little bitch. Tells reporters he will play ARod if he wants to play. Then ARod asks to play and Girardi tells him no.

The guy's career is basically over. He will be out of your hair on Friday (probably). Yankees aren't going anywhere. Just play him. No need to be a bitch about it.

Fuck A-Rod. He's probably the most disliked player of this generation. Yankee fans will probably boo him even if he gets on the field. Girardi owes him nothing. Bonds looks like a gentleman compared to A-Rod.

8th all-time in fWAR since the end of the Deadball Era, one of the best to ever play the game.

I'm surprised that Girardi didn't play him in one game so he'd go 0-4 and drop his batting average below .200.

Nomination approved. Everybody in world knew he was juiced when the Yankees signed him. You get get to try and look cool by screwing him over when you gladly ignored it for a decade.

yeah, as JORR pointed out upthread how can you really hate a guy who had not 1 but *2* paintings of himself as a centaur in his own bedroom?

still to this day on http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/newsstand they list a-rod stories as being under the "centaur" beat/tag =D

HAPPY TRAILS YOU GLORIOUS CENTAUR! here's to hoping someone like tampa might decide eschewing 4-6 weeks of MLB DH at bats is worth it to have you around to go for 700/+ HRs and maybe get a few more asses in seats? otherwise i can't really see anything else working out for him a la barry bonds at the end of his career.

goodnight sweet centaur! thanks for keeping it "loosey goosey", as always!

also i can't be the only person here secretly hoping that a-rod somehow pulls a 3-4HR game out of his centaur-ass tonight so he can make one final !!!! to (likely) finish his career with exactly 700HR. "search your feelings; you know it be true" - darth vader

yeah but did kenny ever covet a-rod throughout his career? with griffey jr it was one of those things where k-will had a boner for junior and always wanted to get him somehow some way, so when junior hit the scrap heap it was a match made in heaven (akin to the macho man / miss elizabeth wedding) but only because WHAT KENNY WANTS KENNY GETS!

idk if a-rod is in that category.... i'm crossing my fingers tho cuz i'd dig the shitshow. THE (2016) CHICAGO WHITE SOX: WHY NOT?!

Speaking of Girardi, did we ever get confirmation on what that "green, leafy substance" found in Darryl Kile's room was?

I thought A-Rod was going to sign with the Marlins once he clears waivers.

Nomination denied...The Bombers are -3.5 out of the Wild Card ( tra la tra la ) and they get rid of Chapman and Beltran and Joe HAS to stick this piece of shit in the line up?

Girardi has to be happy to get rid of ARod and be in a playoff race with his new "baby bombers" (who hit back to back homers in their debuts today...first time that's ever happened).
