Also, when I was running a company that provided temp waiters and chefs, Jessica Oloroso came in looking for work. She had a great resume. She was a classically trained chef and I think she had been working at Le Titi de Paris. Beyond that, I could just tell she was a great person when I interviewed her. I don't believe she ever actually worked a gig for us. I tried to put her on the highest end stuff I had, but I knew someone like her wasn't sticking around as a temp cook. And these snobby motherfuckers on the Gold Coast are crying about her great product and demanding some "authentic" shit from a French franchise? Fuck them! I hope they spill their Bow Truss coffee all over their designer pantsuits.

That little triangle of a park used to be a bathroom for bums and living quarters for rats not too long ago. Now, the people in the area believe they deserve better gelato being served in their park (which is actually not a neighborhood park at all).

This whole story seems like a controversy invented/manufactured by the Amorino Gelato owner so she can drive Black Dog Gelato out of the neighborhood.

It's very curious that none of the dissatisfied Black Dog customers will communicate with Tadros directly, despite having texted him, etc.

So is most frozen custard--I once did a day-long taste test of about 20-30 custard stands in the Milwaukee area. There's really only about 5 or 6 that are worth eating--Leon's, Kopps, and Oscar's top the list.

Chicago has a great custard stand, Scooter's, at the corner of Belmont and Paulina. It's just about as good as anything you can find in Wisconsin.

I have the third this. Used to have Massa in Elmwood Park on occasion. Gelato was interesting the first few times, but its really not that good. Only custard I have is in a Fat Elvis shake with peanut butter, banana and chocolate. 'Mericuh!

I liked Black Dog on the couple of occasions I tried it. When I lived in Chicago, Scooter's was my destination of choice for frozen desserts.

There is a Black Dog gelato a few blocks from my apartment in the Ukranian Village, anywhat the one time we tried to go there was a line out the door and when we got there two of the flavors were completely sold out. The two we tried were very unimpressive. I got a mint chocolate chip and the mint tasted like an altoid overpoweringly strong. Anyways for the hype and the wait I was unimpressed.

RANDOM VIAGRA TRIANGLE THING: last time i was down there i ended up in some random bar doing eminem's "lose yourself" on karaoke. afterwards when i was outside having a smoke some ~30something/+ chick came up to me and said i was "really good" and asked if i ever considered trying to rap "for real." i saved us both a bunch of pain and suffering by simply saying "no"

so yeah, evidently my "mad skillz" have impressed "the highest echelon of people who [drink] in chicago" and i'll buy dinner for anyone who can guess the only other song i've ever done karaoke-style.
