i found vhs tapes of tough crowd with colin quinn. i watched them..this was last year. man CC hasn't had that kind of quality in some time. they were talking about topics relevant to their time and they were STILL making me laugh today.

he has basically said that the whole goal of his show was to make white people uncomfortable...then complained that white people don't like to be told uncomfortable things by black people. then he wondered why no one watched his stupid ass show.

is that on? there was a time when we moved where i was in a mexican standoff with Dish and we only had OTA channels. this was on after SNL. SNL was a shitshow but man, how could it get worse?...well they did it...was horrible.

how i longed for my hs days when i would get off work late saturday night and watch the red green show, mr bean, and Night Stand with Dick Dietrick

What I can't believe is that Byron Allen is a comedian himself. He's such a vanilla guy, & all he's done are these super-latenight tv shows.

I had always thought he was just some "tv personality" who interviewed celebrities.

Yeah, whenever people criticized the Nightly Show for not being funny, the rebuttal was always a sneering "it's not for you," "you" being white guys in their twenties and thirties, of course. Being sandwiched between "Make Funny Faces At The News" and "Impress Chris Hardwick With Twitter Jokes" probably wasn't the best place to not be for you.

apparently he was discovered by jimmie walker at age 14. then worked on his writing staff which included leno and letterman. if his wikipedia is legit, it sounds like he has some serious production power in hollywood.
