After Sunday, no one cares about you for the next 4 years.*

*-besides the Winter Olympics and that is basically just figure skating.

Girls sports in school is huge. Bigger than boys I think. I was wholly unprepared for this phenomenon

We used to love going to girls bball games in HS. We would constantly get the other team on the "3.............2.............1" chant with four minutes to go in the quarter. Can't tell you how many mid-quarter half court shots we forced.

Women's sports are like ethanol. They wouldn't exist if it weren't for archaic regulations requiring us to let them exist.

Good. I don't want inferior women athletes on my TV and I don't want fat ugly dikes talkin' at me about sports.

Get back in the kitchen and get back on the stripper pole you whore.

I'm not against them existing. I'm against me knowing they exist outside of the Olympics.

I'm happy that world class women athletes can make a middle class lifestyle playing a sport. I wish I could monetize my hobby too.

If you could get a nickel off of every message board argument you have been involved in then you could retire by now.

Yup. I could do the worlds easiest job and stay home and take care of kids.

I'm not against them existing either. But they wouldn't if we let the free market take its course.

From what I understand, there are three womens sports that actually would exist on their own.

Beach Volleyball
Gymnastics
Tennis

Those are the only three sports where the women can actually show they draw well enough to survive. Every other womens sport basically exists as an excuse to monetize the American flag or is subsidized by a mens league.

Yeap.

I posted this in the Juile thread but I am going to link it here also:

http://www.vox.com/2016/8/19/12547192/women-primetime-tv-olympics-sexism

Not only is this article making the case that the lack of women's sports is sexist they are asking for the public/advertisers to subsidy even further something nobody cares about and isn't even a good product. The false equivalence here is shocking because outside of the sports that have a major league here in America like basketball nobody gives a shit about Men's olympic sports outside of the olympics either. There isn't a big following on the Track and Field section of the CFMB ya know?

Possibly figure skating also?

Possibly but it seems like the market for figure skating is basically only the Olympics.

That is compared to gymnastics where they said that all of the women that made the team are in line to make $3 to $5 million in the next year or two.
