I just rode twelve miles in 55 minutes, the last seven miles in a fucking deluge. Some of the streets in East Rogers Park were flooded to about knee deep. My brain was squirming like a toad.

Won the final week of our regular season 14-0 to jump from 7th to 3rd in our fantasy baseball league. Top four make the playoffs. Not liking my chances, but anything can happen!

Entering the last week of the regular season, I was sitting in 8th place. Top six make the playoffs. In week 19, I needed a win, and some help. I demolished my opponent and got the help I needed, and ended up in 5th place. Top two seeds get a bye for round one. Each round is two weeks. I beat the #4 seed, and now take on the top seed, who wants no part of me. Nolan Arenado, bitches.

How old is she? Ours always says how great he was. Last week, I asked if they ever told the parents if the kid was being an asshole. She gave me some non-answer.

She's 20 months. They actually love her at day care - one of her "teachers" has become a personal babysitter for us when needed. She usually says she's great and they love having her; she just told us she had a couple run-ins with the toys, which happened before, too. One of the boys fell when they were grappling and scratched his face yesterday... and I think they have to fill out an incident report for that as well. I'd be lying if I said I didn't think it was funny. She's below average size for her age, too.

I went to the Windy City Thunderbolts game last night, and I really enjoyed it. Good seats, moderately priced concessions, (Thursday and Friday are $1.25 beer nite ), and although these guys are not major leaguers, it was still fun to watch baseball.

The Bolts pitcher took a no hitter into the 7th inning, which is the farthest Id had ever seen in a pro game that I attended.
