My thoughts on Islam are moderate or perhaps more accurately, truly liberal.

Look, take the current pet cause of the liberal elite, the hijab. There are many, many hijabis in my neighborhood. I have never once felt the compulsion to tear off their head scarves or insult them in any way. But I do judge them. And I'm not a real judgmental guy. I judge them because they are making a statement, and it's not a positive statement. I don't want to take away their right to be offensive idiots. And the Americanized hijabis who are just "empowered women exercising their choice", well, they're assholes without any concern for how others may feel. And I'm not talking about my feelings or yours. I'm talking about the millions of women who are being subjugated and the millions of little girls who are being sexualized. That's why I compare them to a goof wearing a Confederate flag t-shirt. It's his right to wear it. I don't want to stop him. He may not even understand the weight of the symbol, just as the hijabi may not understand the weight of hers. But that's on them. If you celebrate the wearing of either one, you're a fucking douchebag.
