In fairness to Baez, the guy was out by a mile if Zobrist is paying attention to where his own feet are. Just an awful play all around.

Baseball 101. 2 strikes with 2 outs, play is always at first base.

Watch the replay, fucktard burrito.

It was a stupid decision by Baez, no one would argue that, but Zobrist has no agility or athletic ability. If that was Bryant making that throw to Baez it would of been an easy out.

That's the kind of thing that will lose them the World Series.

It's going to be a stupid thing like that.

Agreed...Baez throws to the wrong bag way too often, still a better glove @ 2nd than Zobrist though so we need him to start in October... Cahill shouldn't have been on this roster..he blows, I blame Maddon 4 that and I could see Cahill and Wood fucking us this fall.

You forgot the most important statistic. He's only 22.

No way Theo signs a new contract until he sees whether they win the WS or not. Huge difference in salary.

I'm pretty sure Boilermaker Rick made fun of me when I said this earlier. Probably Frank and jorr too.

I did. So what does he get if they win the world series? What does he get if they don't?

Is Ricketts going to be like "Theo, your team lost so instead of 16 million a year the best I can do is 8 million a year"?

Ricketts would be forced to pay him whatever Epstein wanted if he won the WS.
He still does if they lose.

Bullshit, cite the source...but its certainly a possibility, if he drives in runs at this pace and plays his GG Defense...he's 22 and has a ridiculously bright future.

Yes and no, he could demand a piece of the team if he wins a WS ..doubt he would have the balls to even ask if he don't.

That was Cahill's loss plain and simple. Do not hit a batter and then fuck up a simple throw to first. Cubs pitchers are horrible throwing to bases whether a pickoff or routine play.

It seems like every time a Cub pitcher hits a batter late in the game, they come around to score. I believe Rondon hit a guy in Washington which of course ended up scoring the tying run.

I enjoyed Vin, but it seemed like he had some stories to tell to the Chicago audience and wanted to make sure he got them all in during that one inning. He never stopped talking.
