In fairness to Baez, the guy was out by a mile if Zobrist is paying attention to where his own feet are. Just an awful play all around.

He was on the outfield grass....moron

Watch the replay, fucktard burrito.

It was a stupid decision by Baez, no one would argue that, but Zobrist has no agility or athletic ability. If that was Bryant making that throw to Baez it would of been an easy out.

From the LA Times:With the bases loaded and two outs, Carl Edwards Jr. got Adrian Gonzalez to hit a ground ball to the shortstop side of third base. It looked like the inning was over, but Baez decided to throw to second for the force out, instead of getting the slow-running Gonzalez at first. The only problem: second baseman Ben Zobrist was playing in shallow right field to defend the lefty Gonzalez. Zobrist was playing deeper than usual, considering the Dodgers first baseman's lack of speed. Zobrist couldn’t get to second in time to get a hard-running Corey Seager while Andrew Toles crossed the plate.

Fucking Moron

Yes, everyone in the infield should know where the throw needs to go on a shift. I'd call the 2nd baseman positioning in right field a shift.

But...if you look at Zobrist's footwork, he fucked up...the runner still should have been out by 3 feet.

and this was last year. Mind you, it wasn't qualified by saying DEFENSIVE middle infielders. In fact, they hint that even with bad offense he is no less than the 5th best

I read your second link, what's the problem? They said Addy is better defensively than Seager..he is, they say he's driving in more runs..he is... They say Addy is smaller than Correa and Seager and Story and a better glove..all true, those guys are expected to change positions eventually, bigger guys and not as quick. What's your beef? They say Addy doesn't put up the batting avg. Like those other three and needs to put the ball in play more often, that's also true. ...did you even read that article?

As much as it pains me, I must agree with Walt. That play should be to first every time. I hate when they go to the force at second with two outs unless it's a short flip. It's the least practiced play in that scenario, and it has the most variables that can go wrong. Throw it to first.

Its a no brainer to first, it ain't the first time Baez threw to wrong bag and it fucked us..why does it pain you to agree with Walt? He been watching baseball for a few decades, he knows an error when he sees one. Ultimately I blame Maddon for bringing in Cahill, the guy sucks.

I was joking. I like Walt, even though I would occasionally like to give him an open-hander.

Yes and no, he could demand a piece of the team if he wins a WS ..doubt he would have the balls to even ask if he don't.
He can demand it either way, and Ricketts should politely decline while laughing with his family behind closed doors about it.
