The Cubbies need only go 18-15 to hit 100 wins ... which itself means nothing (ask the 2015 Cards*), but it does look nice ... another fun way to look at it, the Cardinals would have to go 24-9 and the Cubs would have to play .300 ball to lose their lead. I'm sure MANY would be happy to take $1000 wagers from those who think that's realistically possible.

(*-speaking of 2015, with our current record, the Cubs would've been leading the division by six games a year ago)

They are comfortably on pace to be the 3rd-most winningest team in Cubs' history (behind 1906 and 1907).

Nothing terribly inneresting, but you read through it, so that's on you for being foolish.

Not saying I completely buy into it, but I think LaRussa and some other's have espoused the theory of making the opposing starting pitcher face your best guy in the first inning. I think that's why he batted Pujols in the 3 hole for so long.

This may have be something I am completely incorrect about or something I might have read in Three Nights in August. I cannot be sure.

Much like the M&M's jacket guy, I think the good dolphin is testing the waters in regards to finally leaving the Dark Side. (No not our Darkside. The real Dark Side.)

Strikeout. Lengthy at bat, but a strikeout.

Cubs fans give a standing ovation. That is silly.

I don't reckon I've ever seen an ovation for a player that struck out ... maybe Minnie Minoso in the 80s?

For one thing, they were already standing ... are you suggesting it's normal to be standing, sit down, then start applauding?

For another thing, don't the White Sox have a meaningless game for you to consume?

Sitting or standing doesnt matter. Im suggesting- correctly- that applauding for a player on your own team striking out is very silly.

Frank isn't used to a stadium of fans giving standing ovations.

Now shirtless nitwits running onto a field or beating up an 3rd base coach...he's an expert.

Seeing as those were probably your relatives Kirkwood, you are more of an expert than I am.

With that contention I have little argument.

Arrieta blows. Yet we keep this fucking loser in to rot based off of what he did last year.

I don't know who I want to die first, Arrieta or WWN. I'd troll both of their RIP threads relentlessly. burritos who are losers in life.

This team aren't contenders. They have no true ace. Arrieta is fucking DONE. A team he dominated to the full extent last season just smoked his bum ass.

Please fucking go away, fucking poser.
