Trump the outsider. He really hasn't benefitted from from the crooked system much.

I think I read somewhere that Ivanka's husband is a Real. Smart. Guy. and he has tried to guide the campaign, but he can't really handle Trump.

How could that work though? Does the educated voter really think anything this clown does is sincere? He's obviously a bigot. But I think most people don't care about anything but their own interest, and that generally means their own economic situation. Think of the successful campaign warcries of Reagan ("Are you better off now than you were four years ago?") and Bill Clinton ("It's the economy, stupid.").

so the Trump campaign's gambit might work?

I agree that at the end of the day people always seem to vote based on the economy. The economy moving up Summer into Fall 2012 helped President Obama gain re-election. Any sort of downward economic tremor btw now and the election and we're likely looking at President Trump.

President Obama's approval rating has been holding steady at or above 50%. And in almost all polls his approval rating is a net positive; which factor acts as something or a proxy for the state of the economy and thus a predictor of whether the incumbent party will retain the White House come November.

I believe he's waiting to meet with Elizabeth Warren before doing so.

All kabuki theater. Just like Clinton's pathetic and weird "Vast alt right wing conspiracy" speech (that none of her bots even understood) was simply an attempt to create space for Uniparty members like Paul Ryan and the other anti Americans to occupy so they can comfortably distance themselves. Establishment is both D and R.

There was some truth to her GREAT speech but it was primarily really good politics.

i thought about making a thread titled "TRUMP-MAKE GREAT AMERICA AGAIN" and then having the post mutter something about how gurnee is "a bit far" and whatnot, but we'll just leave it at that.

anyways, does anyone here get a kick out of hillary/left officially going out of their way to "re/brand" the "alt-right" as some kind of a bad/horrible/etc thing? it's basically doing what they did with "trump supporter" v1.0-- you know back when trump was merely hitler reincarnate and not a veritable horseman of the apocalypse whose election means the end of the world-- and given how i saw the media manage to effectively re/brand "gamergate" as some kind of super-misogynistic internet (based) haters-club, i'm just going to assume that enough chest/breast thumping and reiteration along with malleable minds of those mythical "undecided voters" means that it's totally going to work.

nevermind that "alt-right" was originally some kind of rebrand of right/leaning people who want to signify that they're so totally NOT the old stuffy big money GOP, moreover they're some kind of "hip new [grassroots? youth?] movement" that has come about during the last ~8yrs of obama/democrat-hegemony.... now because hillary and her (well paid) internet shills/agents/employees need to not just attack only trump but the whole "new/er right" with emotional appeals it's basically back to stage 1 of the anti-TRUMP playbook by saying that anyone who likes [TRUMP/right-wing-ideas] = OBVIOUSLY a racist/bigot/fascist*/ne'er-do-well/etc

TLDR = ah well, no matter what all hilldog and her media/internet friends have to do is keep on repeating "alt-right = racist/bigot/fascist*/evil" and it'll eventually catch on and become the de-facto definition (see: "GamerGate")

* = the way "fascist" is thrown around nowadays would have mussolini trying (and failing) to facepalm in his grave. he didn't get dragged through the streets for THIS so-called "fascism in pejorative only" =D

Republican nominee Donald Trump has placed immigration at the core of his presidential campaign. He has claimed that undocumented immigrants are "taking our jobs" and "taking our money," pledged to deport them en masse, and vowed to build a wall on the Mexican border. At one point he demanded a ban on Muslims entering the country. Speaking to supporters in Iowa on Saturday, Trump said he would crack down on visitors to the United States who overstay their visas and declared that when any American citizen "loses their job to an illegal immigrant, the rights of that American citizen have been violated." And he is scheduled to give a major address on immigration in Arizona on Wednesday night.

But the mogul's New York modeling agency, Trump Model Management, has profited from using foreign models who came to the United States on tourist visas that did not permit them to work here, according to three former Trump models, all noncitizens,

Trump has pivoted away from that hard-line immigration stance; he's adopted President Obama's immigration policy.

Hillary didn't label the alt-right as edgy teens being racist and sexist online, she just piggybacked on everyone to her left who did it already, plus that kinda is what they are in the first place.
