Rick put it best. It's a win/win for many of us Sox fans. If they win it all, we can be happy for real Cubs fans like pasta and leash's old man. If they lose, we mock the obnoxious fans like leash and IMU.

I remember when I cut off a dude once in my work van when I was doing restoration and this guy decided to speed up to get next to me to see the guy who cut him off. When he got to the side of me, he saw my partner and I both had Cubs hats on and went "OF COURSE! FUCKING CUBS FANS!" and sped away.

Typical Sox fan behavior.

I didn't cut him off because I'm an asshole or was in a hurry. I only did it because I was born on the north side and root for the Cubs. It was my destiny to cut him off on that fateful day.

Its interesting to see how much Cub success bothers different Sox fans. For some it really affects their day to day moods and then others are just like "oh well whatever good for them"

frank is the only sox fan i've ever encountered in real life or online.

every other sox "fan" is just a bitter cubs fan secretly mad about '69, '84' or '03.

they'll come back and be at peace once they can old exorcise their demons when the cubs win the world series this year.

I'm not worried. I'm having fun. This is the most fun I've had watching the Cubs in my whole life. It's like the season the 05 Sox fans had... it was clear all year long they were really good. So good for them then good for us now.

As I've said before, the Cub took my soul years ago. You can only be gutted so many times before you become desensitized to the whole thing. Now of course I want them to win it all, but if they don't, so be it. We'll be right back in playoff contention next year and we'll take another crack at the title then.

I'm on the Manny Ramirez wavelength these days. "It's just a game" so there's no need to be to upset if things don't go our way.
