Mr. T went to what passed for my church for awhile when I was a kid. Always seemed to come in wearing a long sleeved t-shirt or turtleneck that matched his overalls & boots. No jewelry, just brought his own Bible. Really nice guy.

If cCubber was more fleshed out 3 could have been an all timer.

But him and Dragon turned into comic book villains.

But 1-3 were good. The arc was finished....

You had Rocky becoming everything he never wanted to be and in turn had to turn to Apollo to help set him straight. You had Paulie's jealousy and insecurity, which was always there, fully come out and get resolved. There's Adrian, the one who was always honest with him finally getting him to admit to himself that he was afraid. And then there's Mickey, who was protecting him all along, right up until his dying breath.

Rocky 3 had it all. Not to mention a great villain who was stronger, hungrier and better that Rocky had to overcome. (Bonus points for Lang being from Chicago.) And then the ending. Man what an ending with Rocky & Apollo back in the ring one last time. That freeze frame that morphs into a painting is one of the best ending shots in cinematic history.

i'm pretty sure i've also seen hart to hart on one of those antenna TV / COZI TV type channels around the 340s-350s on comcast cable. hell, i think like 338-360 is pretty much just "nostalgia TV" as the a4mentioned channels + all the others like meTV/meToo/decades/etc are in that area.

H&I started running deep space 9 / voyager / enterprise from 10pm-1am on weeknights and now when i catch the credits music on enterprise it feels kinda depressing, that is unless i stick around for a few minutes until holly robinson croons the 21 Jump Street theme song for an instant pick-me-up. go figure the lyrics are strangely apropos when i'm saddened by exiting the late night star-trek block.

Mr. T was a goldmine back in the day. at the height of his powers he had that motivational video called be somebody... or be somebody's fool! that was just some kind of [special]. right out of the gate they hit you with some synthpop/rapping-Mr.T fusion that's just..... yeah. at the very least it's worth mining for samples.

and yeah like RR said earlier he always seemed to be genuine for what/who he is, so hey hats off to the guy (cuz when's the last time you've seen him wearing a hat? EXACTLY!)

The only quibble I'll make is that he said it will "beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it". I wish he'd said "permanent" instead in honor of Mick.
