Yeah, I hate Flo too.

The claim they can save me $3000/year.

Anybody ever use it? Is it bullshit? Is it some insurance company working out of someone's trunk?

Yep. Just added Dr. Ken Jr. I and his car and State Farm jacked me up $2k/year.

Insurance is usually a scam to get you to switch. Savings minimal unless you have been overpaying for decades. No one here is that dumb are they?

Take the savings as long as there are no major changes in your coverage.

Go to an independent broker for personal insurance. Ask for the cheapest rate for the coverages you want. They can shop a dozen companies who offer different rates for the same coverage. As long as they're an admitted insurer, they'll pay any claims you have.

Coverage is the same. I just assume they place you with some crap company.

Yeah. I have a business insurance broker. I thought I'd check if he knows somebody.

Just curious because this was so damn cheap.

I get quotes all the time that are more than I pay now. In mail almost daily. I have a clean MVR no DUI or any blemishes for 30 years. Hard to believe as I am a total drunk in the eyes of some of the board.

Oh... if you already got the quote, go for it. Progressive is fine. It's a big, reputable company.

I don't think they do that with auto insurance.

Somebody just told me their claims process is good if you get in an accident. Historically they are more likely to raise rates if you have one but that is slowly changing. If the coverage is the same, I'd think it'd be fine.

I had progressive before I bought a house. Had a claim when I got rear ended by an uninsured driver. They met me at the repair shop, gave me a ride home. Processed my claim flawlessly and went after the uninsured driver.

I wouldn't leave State Farm. Try calling your State Farm rep and ask if they can do anything to match Flo.

I've had State Farm for a good while now, and I'm happy with it. My representative's office has helped me keep it low whenever a competitor came calling.

Quiet, you.

I'm trying to get some insurance.

Didn't LeBron comment about his love for Flo on Twitter? That says a lot for Progressive.

Unless another reputable company can beat that, I would take the savings.

State Farm is adding $235/month.

Progressive said they'd cut my existing by $10/month.

State Farm said, OK, we will only raise it $110/month.
