There is no criticism here. It's just business. That's what everyone said back then.

Tommy and Theo did what they felt was best. The Cubs are no worse off because of what Tommy did. Bryant is worse off because of what Theo did.

For some reason, no one is mad at Theo but everyone got mad at Tommy.

Adding him to the roster for September is fine, but I don't see him having a place on the playoff roster. Unless he gets super hot with the bat in the last couple weeks and they just have to have his bat to pinch hit. But so far, he has been less than impressive since his return. Doesn't seem likely.
