Not ridiculous at all. Media do this everyday. The Daily Meme is evident. Read the fucking article and no other explanation is credible. How many times were they saying "Polls in Florida are closing in xx minutes"? Over and over because they were worried that it was slipping away from AlGore. Rather was the worst, the most frequent "Polls close in Florida.." hypester. Every 3 minutes.
If Trump seems to be close as this goes forward we can expect even worse. They no longer care if people know what they are doing.
