looks like they only want to invest a few episodes into this, so if the ending sucks they won't have to stick around to see it.

Heyward has been better. Smoked an 0-2 pitch right to the second baseman with the bases loaded and one out. No hate from me.

Anyways, biggest game in the history of the franchise today. Arrieta's last stand.

I'm hammered. I don't know if I'll be up in time for the game tomorrow.

I'm sure we'll lose anyways.

If the priority is winning a game in early September even though they have a 15 game lead in the division and a nice lead in the N.L. as well.....you are right. But if getting guys some rest and making sure the team is more rested and that bench players get enough at-bats to be sharp when the playoffs begin, then giving some guys extra rest probably is the right thing to do.

Seems like many of these "rest" games have coincidentally fallen with Jake pitching.
