I was confabulating agnostic and deist--the latter i think means you believe there's some sort of higher power but don't subscribe to any particular religion.

Atheist would be too much of a 180. When I think "atheist" I can't help but imagine Mother Teresa on reddit posting stuff like "Owned Another Christ-Tard Today, They Are Sooo STOOPID!!!" to /r/atheism.
