What amount of innings would trigger his option? He's right on pace to replicate last year with a slightly higher whip, he usually starts hot and faces down the stretch..if he doesn't get his option, its on him..Maddon ain't yanking him when he's dealing, he's getting yanked when he's getting shelled.

He needed 200 innings for the option to vest. He probably wasn't going to get it anyway, but that game where Maddon pulled him after 40 pitches made it impossible.

Fuck that. Hammel wants to bitch about being taken out too early ? Fine, stay in and get pounded .

Yeah, I don't think Joe is a big fan.

Lots of times last season he pulled both Hammel and Hendricks early in games, where you could tell each was unhappy about getting the hook frequently. This year the leash for them seemed to get longer, but tonight Joe kinda borrowed Derrik Rose's sex belt and slapped it on Hammel and did the Rizzo hip thrust.

It makes it easier to justify not having him on the playoff roster, if he gets beat around a couple times like tonight.

This is hilarious. Out of all the careers you've had, you're telling me you were never a comedian? I don't buy it. You're being modest.

I'm not quite sure this is right.

I think the team option is void if Hammel meets certain marks, IP or whatever. So the option doesn't ever vest I don't think. It's a team option that can be voided by Hammel.

Depending on how he and his agent view the FA pool for 2017, it's possible they want to void the option and try to get a 2 year deal or something.

Miller Park always seems depressing on TV, but IRL it's fine.

Fowler can use another DL stint. His numbers are dropping like a stone.

Over all.. O like Joe, but I hate his love for Cahill, Wood n Smith..they suck, none should see action in a close game.

But still matter. Losing two of three in Milwaukee is embarassing at best. Like a vacation for the team let us drive back and forth and do as we please. Lets get back to business tomorrow.

They'll win enough games by accident to get the job done.

They're not going to burn any good pitchers in a game Montgomery starts.

No, they don't. That's what 'meaningless' indicates. Nobody of any importance in that organization cares about them losing this game. Idiot meatballs care ... but their concerns are 'meaningless'.

I had a dream Starlin Castro was reacquired and had a huge pinch hit double.

Yup. I took a vacation from watching the last two games. No point.

I'm ready for the playoffs to start.
