Da Jewels had an entire aisle of generic goods. Good times.

My dad loved that aisle. We always begged my mom to do the grocery shopping. We had cans of "green" peas everywhere, and they all smelled like paste. I 'm pretty sure that we never had a fresh, or properly cooked vegetable in our house during my childhood due to budget or time constraints.

Same here. And if I didn't finish my dinner I would have to eat the string beans cold for breakfast. The luncheon loaf wasn't bad on a cracker with a jagged chunk of velveeta though.

+1 on the Creme Soda. I used to love that when I was a kid. There was a kind I'd buy from Dominick's that was in a blue can, but I can't remember the brand right now.

Canfield's Swiss Creme?

That one was the Bee's Knees.

The Jewel pops were great as well. My grandparents used to get it when my grandfather would barbecue. They had a fantastic Lemon Lime & Fruit Punch.

President's Choice Black Cherry was great.

Tahitian Treat is still sold. You can find it in Dollar Stores & Gas Stations. 99 cents for a two litre. I'm sure RC bottles the stuff.

There really aren't enough Fruit Punch flavored sodas. Minute Maid had one for a while that was epic. They also had a great Sparkling Lemonade.

Big Red is an interesting one. It's actually orange-flavored, but it seems more like cotton candy.

I don't really drink soda anymore other than Dr. Pepper or Vanilla Coke. Other than that, just iced tea and water for me. I miss my soda-chugging days.

I think Big Red is supposed to be a Cream Soda.

Diet Dr. K sounds like a criticism.

You have your own line of salad dressings, and now a soda. What an entrepreneur.

I get a new york seltzer every couple weeks. good stuff!

Captain Crunch tears up the roof of your mouth. It's like eating glass for breakfast. Kids got a box of boo berry yesterday.

Where can you still buy NY Seltzer?
