Monday: 7:15 p.m., CSN.
RH Kyle Hendricks (14-7, 2.07) vs. RH Mike Leake (9-9, 4.61).

Tuesday: 7:15 p.m., ABC-7.
RH Jason Hammel (14-8, 3.50) vs. LH Jaime Garcia (10-12, 4.58).

Wednesday: 12:45 p.m., ABC-7.
LH Jon Lester (16-4, 2.51) vs. RH Carlos Martinez (14-7, 3.05).

A sweep clinches the division and does big damage to wild card hopes. Unfortunately Hammel starts G2.

Ok don't forget that married couples get two gift tax exemptions! Grandparents, pay education expenses directly to avoid the gift tax.

I wonder what odds a fella could get betting on both managers getting run in the same game.

You've got to go Lester and Hendricks in the first two games of the NLDS.

Hard to argue at this point.

I wondered to myself the last time there were Cy Young winners from the same team two years in a row but not the same pitcher ... and it was fairly recent ... '07 & '08 Cleveland Indians (Cabathia, Lee) ... so, not a big deal I guess.

Time before that was '96 & '97 ... the Jays' Pat Hentgen & Clemens (who then won it again in '98).

I wonder if I'll ever think, read, or otherwise hear about Hentgen's name again after tonight.

Hentgen a former Cardinal too no?

So it all fits together nicely.

One might say that the Cubs have (or will have, if I must) Cy Young, Cy Old, & Cy New.

He's had a bad game. Defense has bailed him out though.
