This is all becoming a bit..... problematic for LTG.

Which is all interesting because LTG's views on MANY issues take the side of the oligarchs and existing power structures. Also, there is a lot of Dick Cheney/Neo-Con in him as well.

Fits right in with his absolute and total devotion to Hillary Clinton, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that's she's a corrupt warhawk hack and agent for the wealthy.

Interesting stuff.

Is Trump a racist? Is Trump an advocate of the poor?

I'm not interested much in labels. I'm an advocate for improving the lives of poor people. Black middle class grew under Bill Clinton's administration. Economy as a whole did better too. I'm just wondering how Trump is one "who feels your pain"? Rich dude that grew up rich is really going to be a champion for the poor. Who the hell are you crappin? His business practices have really been illustrative of a guy that doesn't routinely shit on people. yeah right

If I had to label Trump I would go with opportunistic narcissist which come to think of it describes MANY politicians.

He has been found guilty of racist discrimination in a court of law. His bigotry during this campaign is reminiscent of what occurred during the George Wallace and Bull Connor era. He is supported by every white supremacist organization in the country. He has a known racist for Campaign manager. I love the way that his racism is being pooh poohed on this message board. It is really a thing (not) of beauty. No one wants to call this dude for what he is which is a fucking racist. As long as they can avoid that then they can be excused for supporting his bigoted ass.

That's a narrative. I don't know if it's true or not. I'm sure he has employed some black people if that's what we define as "helping". Anyway, I'll say again, I don't want to get into defending Trump.

You already have gotten into defending Trump though. Perceived racism and actual racism are two totally separate things. Trump has never promoted an African American to the position of executive in any of his companies. He also broke a racial quota agreement with respect to hiring at his Casino in Indiana. His racism is for real.

I really haven't. You perceive any criticism of Hillary Clinton as a defense of Trump.

Why? Mexico is sending rapists and criminals here, and let's ban all Muslims, is pretty fucking racist. I wasn't alive for George Wallace, but Trump is far and away the most outwardly racist candidate for pretty much any office of my lifetime. Ltg isn't wrong.

Trump never said, "Ban all Muslims". He's talking specifically about refugees. The shit he says is bad enough without spinning it.

I respect LTG's opinions, but come on. George Wallace was running on an actual platform of white supremacy. I have Mexican friends that hate Trump and consider his statements on illegals to be somehow related to them. Trump is clumsy, has stupid "solutions", and the things he said about that Mexican-American judge were shameful. But let's be serious. We have borders. Do we want to eliminate all borders and just be people of the Earth? I'd be in favor of that. But I was ridiculed for suggesting a radical alteration of the way we police, I can just imagine what kind of response there would be to that idea. So at least theoretically, almost everyone here is in favor of borders. But if anyone can just come and go as they please, that really isn't a border, is it?

Yeah I love how I got painted into the supporting Trump corner here by LTG. He can be a narcissist AND a racist. But I really don't think Trump is driven by racial hatred as much as he sees and opportunity for exploiting the existing racial tension in this country to his own ends. Whether or not that distinction is important I am not certain.

That's probably the only way a Republican can win the presidency short of Hillary Clinton handing over Alaska to Putin.

Well you know....maybe they should have thought about not alienating every minority group in the country as a long term strategy before we got to this point. Just sayin.

You're wrong about the top part. He specifically said he would like to ban all Muslims from entering, not just refugees. For a guy who didn't want to defend Trump, your day isn't off to a blazing start.

I don't believe you. You live in a swing state that could push one of the candidates past 270. There is no way that you are not doing what you can to prevent the Hill Dog from getting elected.

To me, "ban all Muslims" means banning the religion. But the strongest thing he actually said regarding Muslim immigration was that he supported a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on." I believe he has backed off from that to some degree.

And I don't think telling the truth is defending someone.

You're wrong about the top part. He specifically said he would like to ban all Muslims from entering, not just refugees. For a guy who didn't want to defend Trump, your day isn't off to a blazing start.

Well, you weren't telling the truth in your original post saying he was talking about refugees only. You just clarified it, and in that quote he's saying he's in favor of banning all Muslims, not just refugees.

Favre Fan can say that. As maybe the biggest Hillary basher on this site, you cannot.

Sure I can. As much as I have or will bash her I am not voting for or a supporter of Trump.

I don't believe you. You live in a swing state that could push one of the candidates past 270. There is no way that you are not doing what you can to prevent the Hill Dog from getting elected.

not sure if serious...

You are not sure if I am serious that I don't believe him?

you believe he's voting for Trump?
