I just got a "Single Question Survey" from Trump:

Is Hillary:

Unbelievably Corrupt?

or

Utterly Incompetent?

I selected "unbelievably corrupt" and got the answer, "You are absolutely correct!" and a request for money. Then I went back and selected "utterly incompentent" and got the same response.

  Did you donate twice? I got a text that said the latest poll had Trump up 6 and they gave me a link to donate. They didn't tell me what poll or tell me if it's safe to believe polls again.

2. Leader of the Birther movement

3. Love/support of murderous dictator Putin

4. 3500 lawsuits

5. Islamophobia

6. Xenophobia

7. Lying

8. Business scams

9. Support for "taking the oil"

10. Refusal to denounce white separatists.

11. Comments promoting the shooting of Hillary Clinton.

12. Comments promoting violence at Trump rallies.

13. Participation in pay for play with other pols

14. Foreign business entanglements which may compromise him as President.

15. Being an insider while pretending to be an outsider.

Wow, he sounds like a terrible guy. I wonder why Clinton can't shake him in the polls.

He has a stronger "base" of support. She will pull away by Mid October book it. He can't get above 42%-43%. She has to peel away some of the 3rd party support. Maybe she should forget where Aleppo happens to be. Being ignorant of the job that you happen to be seeking seems to be the order of the day in this and future elections.

You have been predicting Trump's imminent collapse every few months for the past year. Every time he gets written off, he bounces back with surprising resilience and ferocity. Clinton has all but disappeared from regular news coverage, except when controversies emerge about her health, emails, or the Clinton Foundation. Meanwhile, Trump dominates the news cycle and--despite his many flaws--is covered more like an entertainment phenomenon than the potential leader of the most powerful nation in the world. This contradictory and imbalanced media reception will make it very difficult for Clinton to win. She has to dominate the debates, but even then she faces a steep challenge because the punditocracy's expectations for Trump are so low.

I can't remember seeing anything like this in recent times. She is worse than Kerry, maybe even worse than Dukakis. She makes McCain and Romney look like rock stars.

That is why I have been predicting Mid October as the period when she will pull away. She will win by 5%-6%. The gap in electoral votes will be sizable. She hasn't run a good campaign. I will admit that. Too packaged and market test driven. I'm not much concerned about the tightening of the race. Natural ebb and flow of political cycle. Trump is unelectable due to a myriad of reasons.

W. bombed against Gore (on substance) in the debates, but the media promoted the idea that he performed well because he exceeded expectations. I can see a similar scenario playing out here. Clinton made a crucial error with her "basket of deplorables" remark because it's now going to be easier to portray her as sneering and condescending in contrast to Trump's "authenticity".

Maybe she believed the hype? That all she had to do was waltz through the primaries to Princess Debbies coronation party. Then no way anyone on the right could deny her the rightful place as the first woman president. She probably should rethink her plans and get to work.

Edit: The other thing I notice is she does not seem to have the fear factor over the media. They seem to be ok criticizing her. Regardless of what LTG thinks she got a pretty soft ride previously.

If an 80 year old socialist from Vermont, who isn't even a true democrat, gave her a run for her money, how could anyone think she would pull away from anyone?

Television has changed the way debates are scored. There is no way for Trump to beat her substance. He doesn't know enough and the learning curve is simply too steep. He is going to try and muck it up and win that way. It worked for him in the primaries and it has a chance to work now. The difference being that it will be one on one as opposed to a crowded field. Trump employed the spray to all fields approach during the primaries and it worked well. Every week he had a new target.

The other difference is that these debates will reach a much wider audience. There will be more scrutiny than he has ever had to face. He is already whining about Anderson Cooper. Not a good sign. I hope she goes after him. She has to make the sale and show the world that she really wants the job. I think she can do it but until she does that question will linger.

I don't know how you could think that. The media has kept the email scandal going. They also have been hammering her over the Clinton foundation. SHe had to face congressional hearings over Benghazi. Now the health "scare" is center stage. They can't mention her name without talking about untrustworthiness meanwhile Trump lies about everything. Check politicfact and the Washington post regarding Trump lies. The Matt Lauer forum was a joke. He never pressed Trump on anything.

Prior to the start of the primaries the media treated her as the presumptive nominee and barely covered it if anyone even dared to run against her.

She only had one serious challenger and he was basically an unknown at that point. THe media was so thirsty for a horse race that they kept pushing for Biden to enter the race.

Well, he has now officially stated he believes Obama was born in Hawaii. Before today's statement, I thought for a moment he was considering doubling down the other way.
