I'm still pissed the Cubs brought in Jim Edmonds and the Bulls John Starks.

Edmonds was great for the Cubs.

As promised yesterday by Joe, a normal lineup.

Looks like Maddon thinks Wins are inportant for Hendricks' Cy Young bid.

Evidently so do the Brewers

Yet another bases loaded less than 2 out failure.
Might be the 4th of the series.

Pretty embarrassing series. All 4 games were ugly, including the lucky win on Friday. This team needs to start getting serious again. The bullshit lineups this weekend were ridiculous.

 shut the fuck up.

If the team is tired and plays bad in the playoffs you would be the first one bitching at that as well.

These games are meaningless. Stay healthy and get rested up is all they need to be worried about.

Perhaps you should manage this team through the remainder of the season. That would work out well.

so much talk about "our backups are good enough to beat other team's starters" at the beginning of the weekend

The team has the best record in mlb, they celebrated their division title after grinding for 5 months..a small and expected hangover series... You guys gotta relax.

I'm ok with resting guys, but I would have preferred that Joe do it on the road. Fans shelling out big bucks for tickets don't need to see Kawasaki at short.

The Cubs' backups went 1-1.

Cubs starters went 0-2.

I wish. Out of town this weekend and I can't get a sniff listing my tix at face. Fans are as checked out as the team.

I didn't address the unacknowledged part of those statements: they were playing the Brewers and the win came in a game in which Villar sat.

Wow, a 1-game sample size. I guess the '27 Yankees sucked too because they lost that one time.

You should be saying that to the Cub fans and media making the original statement

I don't know who said that, but they would be correct. Because of the sample size, any team's backups are good enough to beat another team's starters.

One bad post after the next, 16 game lead and division clinched ..really grasping at straws to criticize this big blue train.
