What a festering piece of garbage. I wasn't sure if I actually wanted to root for the Patriots, but now my mind is made up.

I think a lot of you aren't getting the fact that these Dolphins aren't going away regardless of what the Patriots do. Did you not listen to this egotistical POS? Their the "first" team to do it. These Dolphins don't care about 19-0 as being better. He actually said that would make the Pats the second best team ever. This Patriots SB win is not going to affect the attitudes of the '72 Dolphins at all. If your soul reason is to root for the Pats because of that, then you will be disappointed when they still won't disappear.

edit: I never really paid any attention to the 72 dolphins previously, anyway. The only time I ever heard anything about them was when sports radio guys would complain about how annoying they are.

Also, it'll be satisfying enough to know that the Pats season will eat at them, as well as mitigate their legacy, even if they don't "disappear."

No real football fan regards the 72 Dolphins as a top 10 team of all time. The only people who do are the 72 Dolphins.

If you think this is bad, you're going to hear Rodney Harrison interviews from now until the day you die if the Patriots win. The Dophins are going to be gone pretty soon. Most of you guys are the same age as the current Patriots- you'll have to listen to that talk for as long as your alive. Of course, it'll be even worse because I, for one, have never met an obnoxious Miami fan in any sport? OK, now have you ever met an obnoxious Boston fan?

I disagree. Bellicheck is a guy that's gonna go away when he's retired. Brady will be on a network pregame shows if he wants but I don't think Brady is an ass hole. I think Brady is likeable.

I don't think the 07 Pats will be like the 72 Dolphins.

The Dolphins hold a special category of hatred in my heart not only because of Mercury Morris and the crew, but also because of the cocky ass Dolphins fans who rooted against the Bears nearly perfect season. Add to that the fact that the Dolphins were the only blemish on the record that year and it boils my blood.

Before this yearI was a Brady and Patriot hater, but if they can knock those Dolphins off their high horse I'm all for it.

Darkside, that's actually what its going to take. I can't eblieve everyone else thinks if the Patriots win then the 72 Dolphins "go away." They won't. Guys like Mercury have already said so. Again, he said the Pats would be the second best team ever. This is how nuts these guys are.

Radio and TV producers need to STOP CALLING THEM and having them on the air. Thats how they will go away.

Unfortunately the 72 Dolphins are so hateable that they must be a ratings boost when they're on. Everytime I see Mercury Morris on tv I cuss, stomp, spit and scream but I don't change the chanel cause I want to hear every fool ass word coming out of his mouth so I can further fuel my hatred. Its a vicious cycle...
