Does Miami play a pro style offense? if so, I'll take that dude.

Out of those 4 QB's who would you take?

Chad Kelly

I like Kelly's skill set, but I read someone earlier today compare his physical talent to Jay Cutler. That sucks.

Also, the off the field stuff is kind of a concern when dealing with the heretic Chicago media and fans.

here is the NFL's first look on some of these guys starting with Kaaya.

Kizer is not in there but he is probably the one we have all seen play the most.

Cutler's physical talent is his only redeeming attribute. It's his decision making and body language that people hate.

I'd rather have Jabrill Peppers or Myles Garrett in the first. Maybe even Fournette. The Bears entire roster is a steaming pile and if they want to draft a QB in the 3rd or 4th and roll with that I have no problem. Could've had Dak Prescott instead of fucking Nick Kwiatkowski but fuck it.

Jabril Peppers is the only person I wouldn't mind the Bears taking instead of a QB. He is a sure fire rookie pro bowler.

Does Myles Garrett translate into an OLB in Fangio's 3-4? You don't wanna draft a guy with that dynamic of a pass rush ability, and then stick him as a DE in the Bear's scheme.

Fournette is the best back in college football since AP, but RB isn't a major concern as of right now. Plus, when next spring rolls around you are going to hear non stop about how many carries Leonard has had in college, and how his NFL career will be limited because of that.

Are any of them injured? That would make a great pick.

The Bears will inevitably trade back, and then draft someone like Seth Russel in the 5th round. It's their destiny.

On a side note... I know it's a way too early Mock, but Chad Kelly wasn't projected in the 1st round here. I'd be all for the Bears drafting him early in round 2.

They cannot bank on the guy being there.

It's way too early for draft projections anyway.

Kelly, to me, looks kind of like Jim Kelly in that he will be a really good competitor throughout his career but never be considered the best in the league at any point.

Yes, as I said, way too early mock draft. Just trying to compartmentalize relevant data as it relates to the thread title.

So Chad Kelly is going to be his uncle?......... Cmon GD.

In regards to your point, I don't think Bears fans are looking for a best in the league QB. Bears fans don't even know what an above average QB looks like.

I'd take Big Ben's 2 rings, and reputation as a borderline great QB over a best in the league signal caller who never wins a super bowl.

Are there best in the league QBs that have never won a superbowl? Only Dan Marino comes to mind.

Good point, but how many best in the league QBs have there been the last 30 years? Do you trust the Bears to identify and project that level of talent? I guess I'm lowering expectations for this organization considering the heralded QB talent of the franchise is debated between Jay Cutler, Jim McMahon, and Sid Luckman.

My point is the Bears need to take a shot at a top shelf QB draft prospect. Being a perennial Super Bowl contender is a non starter without a borderline great QB. I don't want a one hit wonder outlier like Dilfer or Flacco. I want a QB who can lead a healthy team deep in the playoffs for the duration of his prime years.

I wouldn't call Flacco a one hit wonder.

Flacco is an interesting case. I have no idea where to rank him. I consider him better than Dilfer though.

I'm with you Dr. Ken. He has a real smooth and quick release too. Singlehandedly beating Syracuse today.

Maybe it's adapting to a pro style offense, but Kaaya has been playing like a mid round pick so far this year. He's only thrown for 70 yards in the first half against Georgia Tech.

He's got a real gun. Some serious Cutler-like zip on those balls.

He also throws behind guys and struggles hitting people in stride. I love it!

Seamless Bears transition.

Kelly is probably the most pro ready guy in the class, but he has had some character issues. Kizer will need a year or two before he is impactful in the NFL imo.

Watson does not get rattled in big games. That would translate to a big market like Chicago methinks.

Watson made some incredibly poor throws last night. That interception in the end zone was all on him: receiver had plenty of space in front of him and wasn't in the deep middle of the field, all Watson had to do was lead him a bit...and he throws it shallow enough so the defender can undercut the route.
